Design a Dog Contest Finalists Revealed: Who Will Win?

We’re so amazed by theĀ 6000+ fantastic entries we received during the Design-a-Dog Contest that we chose an entire Top 10 finalists list!

Out of these 10 entries, 1 will be revealed as the contest winner on Webkinz Day, Tuesday, April 29! They’ll walk away with a 1-year Deluxe Membership, a virtual version of the winning pet, and (bonus!) all 5 prizes from the Kinzville Academy creativity class.

Our 9 runners-up will walk away with a virtual version of the winning pet, too!

Congratulations to our finalists. Let us know in the comments who you think should win!

**UPDATE (April 28, 12:00PM EST)

We’d like to address two common concerns among our players since this article has been published.

1) Some players have expressed concern that though the contest officially ended Friday, April 25 at midnight, these finalists were posted early on Saturday morning, even though a number of last-minute entries hadn’t appeared in the ShareCenter yet. We’d like to assure everyone that every single entry to this contest was seen by Friday, April 25 at midnight, and all of them were taken into careful consideration before our team compiled their Top Ten list. The decision to post the Top Ten list on Saturday morning was to ensure that Webkinz Newz readers had time to see the finalists over the weekend and tell us their favorites before the big Webkinz Day winner reveal.

2) Other players have also expressed concern that several of the Top Ten finalists seem to have been done with computer software. According to the official rules, this is acceptable. We want to stress that we were delighted with every entry we received, regardless of the artist’s choice of coloring tool (crayons, computer software, markers, etc — there was a big range!). To that end, our Top Ten contains examples of different types of coloring tools that reflect the wide range of entries we received.

We hope that everyone remains a good sport and congratulates the finalists on their achievement as we count down the hours to the big reveal on Webkinz Day, Tuesday April 29!

Hehee! they meant Fliplets07, I’m guessing, not Flipslet07. (I know Fliplets in the forum, so I noticed that fairly quickly!) But you never know! Wow, I had never seen this contest before, but I had seen the winning design =D
