Laurabeard’s Suggestion

It’s me, Nibbles. I know I’ve been kinda blue lately what with Plumpy being away for Christmas, but I just realized that I’m so lucky.

Laurabeard invited me over today. She said that she had an idea that she wanted to run by me. I went over and there were still some of the yummy cookies left over that we made the other day (yay!) so we sat down by the fireplace to have our cookies with a glass of milk.

Laurabeard seemed a little shy about something, but finally she blurted out that since I have no sister with me this Christmas and she has no brother with her, maybe we could be each other’s substitute siblings this year. She was so sweet – she said that she knows she’s no replacement for Plumpy, but that she’s always wanted a sister and she’d be honored if I would be hers.

Isn’t that the kindest thing you ever heard? Leave it to Laurabeard. I told her that she was a great replacement for Plumpy because just like my real sister, Laurabeard is kind and thoughtful and puts others’ feelings first.

So even though I don’t have Plumpy with me this Christmas, I am going to be with a sister this year: Laurabeard, my substitute sister!
