Ella Interviews Sheldon

Sheldon

Ella McWoof: Today I’m joined by everyone’s favorite souvenir-selling turtle, Sheldon! Sheldon: What’s up, Ella McW? EM: Not too much, Sheldon! What’s up with you? S: Dude, it’s been a wild couple of weeks for your old pal Shelly! I’ve been practicing hard for this radical surfing competition I’m going to enter. First prize is one hundred KinzCash and a trip to South Webkinz World. Sun, surf, sand – it’s what I like best! EM: Well, that’s good because you’re usually working at the Souvenir Stand on the Vacation Island, right? S: Right on, Ella M! And I love working there. EM: What’s your favorite part about work? S: Ooh, great question little buddy! The most awesome part is meeting all kinds of cool new friends. They go totally bananas for my souvenirs – and they love telling me stories of their vacations. EM: Can you tell us about a typical day in the life of Sheldon? S: Totes, Ella! Riding waves, catching some rays, selling some souvenirs – and having me a siesta. That’s the day of Shelly-T! EM: What made you want to work at a souvenir stand? S: It’s … Read more

Interview with Chef Sophia

Today’s interview will be with Chef Sophia Soufflé, Webkinz World’s foremost dessert artisan! Ella McWoof: Chef Soufflé, thank you for joining us! Sophia Soufflé: Please, call me Sophia. EM: OK! Sophia, it’s commonly known that you had to work very hard to get to where you are today. Can you tell me a bit about that? SS: You’re right, Ella. I did have to work hard. I worked all through chef school. While other kids got to go home after a hard day at school, I went to the local restaurant and waited tables and did dishes. Over time, the head chef saw how passionate I was about food, and he let me start helping out in the kitchen. Pretty soon, I was a sous-chef, which is the chef who assists the head chef. EM: You must have been very proud to become the sous-chef at such a young age. SS: I was. I worked hard for it, and I was proud of myself. Not as proud as my parents were, I’m sure. They told everyone they knew about what their daughter was doing. They’d come to eat at the restaurant every time they were in town. EM: While … Read more

Ella McWoof: Well, readers, we listened to you and today we are bringing you another interview requested by you. Everyone in Kinzville who enjoys traveling knows the subject of today’s interview. Debbie Dragon has been sending residents of Kinzville to exotic locales for years. Today we’re going to find out more about Debbie’s travels as well as her other passions. Debbie Dragon: Hi Ella! I just want to say that I am so honored that your readers wanted to hear more about me! EM: I think what we all really want to know is how your passion for travel began. DD: You know, I have always been an avid reader, ever since I was a kid. And some of my favorite stories are those that involve adventures in far off locations. As a young woman I was thrilled to read about some of Arte Fact’s exciting feats and that spurred me to travel myself. EM: Can you tell us about some of those early travels? DD: Well, not many in Webkinz World know this, but one of my very first jobs was working as a deckhand on Captain Patches’ ship. EM: No! DD: Yes, … Read more

Ella Interviews Arte

I’m here today with everyone’s favorite explorer, Arte Fact. Arte, thanks so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to do an interview! Arte Fact: My pleasure, Ella. It’s been a long while since anyone asked to interview me about anything! Ella: I find that hard to believe. After all, you’ve had quite an exciting career! AF: I have, it’s true. Even though I’ve settled down somewhat, I do occasionally miss those old days of crazy adventure. EM: What was your craziest adventure? AF: I have to pick just one? That’s impossible! They were all quite outstanding. The time I went to the top of Mount ‘Kinz…the time I discovered the gem mines…meeting the Azure Zingoz…it was all fantastic. EM: A lot of folks have wanted to know: are you still in touch with Matilda? AF: Matilda Monkey? Why, yes. She and I email each other at least once a week. She’s teaching right now, in West Webkinz World. She’s a beloved professor, and I’m so proud of her. She’s extremely talented. I attended one of her lectures once – her students just adore her. EM: And you? How do you feel about Matilda? AF: She’s an … Read more

Ella Interviews Fred Rover

Ella McWoof: Today I have the pleasure of interviewing your favorite events-caster and mine, Fred Rover! Due to popular demand, we’re here to learn more about Fred! Fred Rover: I’m delighted to be here, Ella. Just delighted. EM: Wonderful! Well, Fred, as you may have heard, the fans wanted to know all about you. FR: I’m hardly surprised, Ella. I’m a very interesting individual, if I do say so myself. And I do! EM: So Fred, we know you’re the events-caster at the Webkinz Stadium. What’s the best part and the worst part of your job? FR: The worst part (for me, anyway) is when events drag on for a long time. I have to wait to start talking again. Sometimes waiting is downright painful! The best part? Watching myself in reruns, of course! EM: What made you interested in being an events-caster? FR: Well, when I was a young pup, I had trouble with losing. I wanted to win EVERY event or sport I entered. I realized, though, that winning isn’t everything. It’s important just to play for the fun of it. I decided to take that message and share it … Read more

Ella interview 1: Ms. Cowoline

Ella McWoof: All the pupils at Kinzville Academy just love their principal, Ms. Cowoline. I’m here with Ms. Cowoline to learn more about her love of education, her role in the Kinzville community and her home life with her charming daughter, Cowabelle. Ms. Cowoline: Why, thank you, Ella! When you put it like that you make me sound so grand! I’m just a simple teacher in a small town. Ella: No, Ms. Cowoline, you are certainly more than that! You are the heart of one of the most beloved institutions in Kinzville. Can you tell us how you got your start teaching? Ms. Cowoline: Well, Ella, I came from a very large family, and being the oldest child I just seemed to gravitate naturally toward instructing my younger siblings. Whether it was teaching them to tie their shoes, ride a bike or make a sandwich, I truly enjoyed guidance and felt such a feeling of accomplishment when I saw them grasp a new concept. Ella McWoof: Is there any aspect of teaching you DON’T enjoy? Ms. Cowoline: To be honest – and I’m sure the children will disagree with me on this one – my least favorite part of teaching … Read more

Hailey Interviews Designers

Hailey Interviews Designers Well, I’ve received a pile of resumes from potential design partners so, as part of the interview process, I decided to put forth a design challenge and ask each candidate to design a kitchen. Based on their work experience, the candidates that I asked to provide designs are PJ Collie, Wiggles Pig, and Tabby Von Meow. PJ has a lot of retail experience from working at the KinzStyle Outlet. Tabby seems to be a Jack-of-all-trades after running the Employment Office for so long, and Wiggles Pig is a great designer in his own right. We just need to see if we could forge a partnership. The weirdest thing is that when I received all their design proposals, there was another set of drawings that were submitted. I just found them on my desk and I have no idea where they came from. And the thing about the drawings is that they’re really – well, I’ll let you judge for yourself. So here are the designs submitted by Tabby, PJ, Wiggles and… ? Tabby Tabby decided to go with a country theme for her kitchen. She used the Wind Farm Wallpaper to really capture the country feel. She … Read more

Talk Show Trouble

Hi everyone! A lot of pets have been asking me why I don’t blog much anymore. Well the answer is that this summer I was offered the chance to host a new Webkinz talk show! The first segment featured my interview with two Adventure Series Pets and it was awesome! I can’t wait to do a quest in the Adventure Park! But as many of you know, the show went downhill in the next segment. I tried to interview the Cranky Fortune Teller for Halloween and well… here is what happened: Against my better judgment I’ve decided to bring the Cranky Fortune Teller on my blog to explain what happened. Sugar Glider: Now before the show we agreed that you were going to tell my fortune. How come when we started taping, you became so rude? Cranky Fortune Teller: That’s not a very good question. Try to think of a better one. Sugar Glider: Alright. Halloween is just around the corner! You must be excited, right? Cranky Fortune Teller: I must be excited? Are you trying to tell my fortune now? Sugar Glider: No I just meant that because you’re a Halloween decoration- Cranky Fortune Teller: I hate to … Read more
