Salley’s Good News

Dear Diary, Guess what? Guess what?! I’ve finally got some good news about Thanksgiving! My parents realized that I was having a really hard time making a decision about who to spend the holiday with, so they talked to each other and figured out a compromise. My dad is going to come to Kinzville and take me out to lunch at Le Snout. My mom and I are going to have dinner together (with Stoogles visiting).  My parents are happy, and now I get to see them both on Thanksgiving! Hooray! Love, Salley

Salley’s New Decision

Dear Diary, OK, so remember how I thought that maybe I had made a mistake when I agreed to go and spend Thanksgiving with my dad? Well, I called him and told him that maybe I should stay here in Kinzville with my mom. And he was really disappointed. I know he tried to sound totally OK with everything, but he’s not very good at pretending. My mom, on the other paw, was extremely happy to find out that I’m staying here. I guess the question is: why don’t I feel happier? Why do I still feel like I’ve made the wrong decision? I wish holidays were easier. At least now Stoogles can come over for Thanksgiving dinner. He seems pretty excited about that idea. Love, Salley

Salley’s Conundrum

SalleyCatWriting

Dear Diary, I finally decided who I wanted to celebrate Thanksgiving with: this year, I’m going to hang out with my dad. I mean, that’s the best choice, right? Like, my dad never gets to see me on Thanksgiving…and he really sounded like he missed me. And when I told him on the phone? He was SO excited. The only thing is that I haven’t told my mom yet. And she’s not going to be happy at all. But at least she has my aunt and grandma to celebrate with. Right? Ugh. Maybe I’ve made the wrong decision after all. Maybe I should call my dad and cancel. Maybe I should just tell both of them that I’ve got an invitation to a friend’s house for Thanksgiving dinner and I won’t be available. I wish this was easier. -          Salley

Salley’s Choice

Dear Salley, It’s your old dad with a big question: would you like to come and spend Thanksgiving with me? I would love to have you come out here for a few days. We can go to the museum, visit the family, and even go for ice cream every night after dinner. What do you think? I really hope you say yes. Love, Dad     Dear Dad, Mom and I were planning on spending Thanksgiving here in Kinzville, but I guess I could ask her if I could go see you instead. We could always do Thanksgiving when I get back. I would like to see you, and all of the stuff you have planned sounds like so much fun! Let me just check with her and I’ll get back to you. Love, Salley     Dear Mom, Dad just asked me if I could spend Thanksgiving at his house. I don’t like to bug you while you’re at work, but I think I should let him know if it’s OK with you or not. So…what do you think? Can I go and have Thanksgiving with dad? Love, Salley     Dear Salley, I was planning on us … Read more

Salley’s Summer

Dear Stoogles, I’m writing to you from the train. As you know, I’m on my way to see my dad. I’m pretty excited – he said we’ll do lots of fun stuff while I’m visiting. My mom said she’d miss me a ton, but she told me to have a great time and to send her lots of emails. I hope your summer is going well – I know you have big plans this year, and I can’t wait to hear about how things are going! Have fun! Your BFF, Salley

Salley’s BIG Plan

Hey everyone! Salley Cat here with some awesome news – my plans for the end-of-the-year trip are actually coming together really well! So well, in fact, that even Purr-Cilla said they sounded like fun. Crazy, right? But it’s true. Here’s what I’m thinking we’ll do: On June 23, we’ll take a bus into the Big City. We’ll spend the day going to a museum, strolling through the park, and then seeing a theater show at night. There are so many musicals there – I don’t know which one we’ll end up at, but I know it’ll be good! We’ll spend the night in a very fancy hotel. How can we afford that? Easy! My mom found out that Fluffington owns a hotel in the city, and when she told him about our trip, he said he’d be happy to give us a discounted rate! So we’ll be staying in five-star luxury for a one-star price! The next morning, we’re going to go to Chef Sophia’s sister’s restaurant for breakfast. After that, we’ll get back on the bus and head home. What do you think? Best end-of-the-year trip ever, or what?

Salley’s Great Plan

Salley here with a bit of a conundrum. What do to about an end-of-the-year field trip? Each year, the school president is supposed to plan something really special for the school to do at the end of their term. But this year? I don’t really know. We’ve done so many special things already! I thought perhaps we could do a fun fair, but Stoogles said that would be too similar to the fall fair. I mentioned climbing Mount ‘Kinz, but Purr-Cilla said that most kids didn’t find trekking up a mountain fun. Then I thought ‘what about a trip to the Big City? We could see a play, visit a museum, and eat somewhere fabulous…’ But then I realized: the Big City costs big KinzCash. I don’t know how we’d raise the money. So now I’m back to the ol’ drawing board. If you could go anywhere for an end-of-the-year trip, where would you go, friends?

Salley’s Happy Earth Day

Dear Diary, Today went better than even I could’ve expected! We had SO many Webkinz turn out to help clean up Kinzville. I was amazed – and delighted! It’s really great to see how involved everyone was, and how much they wanted to help keep Kinzville beautiful. We cleaned for about five hours, and then we enjoyed the delicious treats Chef Gazpacho and Chef Sophia made for us. I even got to stand up and make a little speech at the end of the day! I thanked everyone for all their help, and encouraged them to be as green as possible every day of the year, not just on Earth Day. I got a huge round of applause at the end of my speech. I really feel like I’ve made a difference!   Love, Salley
