Secret Santakinz: Stoogles Got…

Hiya, Stoogles here with a bit of a problem. You see, I got Sparky for the Secret Santakinz gift exchange, and to be honest, I have no clue what to get him! He’s really nice but I guess he’s not easy to buy for. Hey, do you think he’d like a baseball or something? I should find out. Also, I’m not going to be here to see his reaction (I’m going away for Christmas, so I’ll give Sparky’s present to Salley so she can bring it in that day) so I won’t know right away if he likes it. Gift-giving is hard!

Stoogles’ Thanksgiving Invitations

Hey Everyone! Stoogles here with some great news. Instead of getting ONE invitation to Thanksgiving dinner, I now have FIVE! Yup, you heard right! Stoogles will be eating well that weekend. First, I’m going to go to Nibbles’ house for Thanksgiving lunch. Her family celebrates earlier in the day. She said they have SEVEN different types of pie! I’m going to try ALL of them! After that, I’m heading over to the Curio Shop for an early dinner with Sparky and his Uncle Arte (Sparky said not to get my hopes up about how good the food will be). After that, it’s over to Salley’s house for dinner with her and her family (Salley is staying in Kinzville now – yay!). We’re all going to head to Cowabelle’s after for dessert (more pie!) and then I’ll end my night at Alex’s house. His friend April will be there as well, so that should be fun. I’ve never really had an official Thanksgiving before – and now I get to do FIVE of them in one day! Is this the best idea ever, or what?

Stoogles’ Invitation

Stoogles here with a tricky situation. My family doesn’t really celebrate Thanksgiving in a big way, but I’ve always wanted to go to a REAL Thanksgiving dinner. So here’s what I’ve got to do: get an invitation from one of my friends. But how? I mean, I can’t very well invite myself to one of their dinners, right? I was going to try and get myself invited to Sparky’s Thanksgiving, but it sounds like his is going to be pretty quiet, with just him and his uncle Arte. Then I figured maybe I’d try and go to Salley’s Thanksgiving, but she might be going to see her dad. Maybe I’ll see if Cowabelle is feeling generous. I hear Dacey Bryn might be at her Thanksgiving dinner – a brush with fame AND a real, honest-to-goodness feast. This might just be my best Thanksgiving ever!

Stoogles Summer – Not So Bad

Wow! Turns out having a broken flipper isn’t that bad after all! After a couple of weeks stuck at home with my grandpa, my family surprised me with the coolest thing ever – they rigged up this wagon so I can travel around with them! It’s been great. We went to the Amusement Park yesterday and I even got to ride on some of the rides! My dad lifted me from the wagon into the roller coaster cart! It was awesome! You know the weirdest thing though? When my family showed up with the wagon, the first thing my grandpa said was “Well, thank goodness for that! Nothing personal, Stoogles, but I was getting kind of bored, being cooped up here with you all the time. I can’t wait to get to that Amusement Park and try the Super Deluxe Rollercoaster!” Seriously???

Stoogles’ Check-Up

Stoogles here, feeling kind of sorry for myself. I don’t know if you heard the bad news, but I fell off my trampoline and broke my flipper! Can you believe that? I mean, if I broke my flipper during the school year, well, that wouldn’t be the end of the world, right? But on summer vacation? What a drag! Anyway, I just got back from a check-up with Dr. Quack and he said that my break is healing nicely, but that I have to continue to take it easy. Do you know what ‘taking it easy’ means? It means more hanging out with my grandpa while the rest of my family has lots of awesome summer fun. So long, amusement park. Hello, cold noodles and naps. At least my friends have been visiting me. Molly and Nibbles came over the other day with cupcakes for me and Sparky lent me his new video game. I guess that kind of makes up for the fact that I am stuck here with nothing to do. Hmmm… maybe I should call Roberta and play up the pain a bit. After all she hasn’t brought me anything yet and she is an awesome baker. … Read more

Stoogles’ Birthstone

Wow! What an awesome birthday party! All my friends were there and as always the Googles put on a massive spread. Googles’ parties are THE BEST! I got so many great presents for my birthday – I sure am one lucky guy! But this birthday was extra special because this was the year that I got my birthstone pendant. A birthstone pendant is a very precious rite of passage to Googles. When you receive your birthstone pendant it means that you have reached the age where you can appreciate the true value of being a Googles (of course I have always known how awesome it is to be a Googles!) And the best part of all is that MY birthstone is the coolest – the Diamond! (Sorry – I’m sure all of your birthstones are totally awesome too, but hello? It’s a DIAMOND!!) At my party, we all had some cake and I opened my presents, and then my mom and dad called me up to the front. Everyone got really quiet then because the Birthstone Pendant Ceremony is a really solemn thing. My mom and dad said that just like a diamond is precious and rare, I am a … Read more

Stoogles Birthday

It’s Salley. Stoogles party is going really well and everyone is having so much fun, but there is something that’s kind of bothering me. There is a TON of food here. Googles really do know how to throw a party. The problem is that they have plastic plates, cups and cutlery. Do you have any idea how bad all that stuff is for the environment? It practically never decomposes. If they HAD to go with disposable plates and stuff (which I really wish they didn’t) couldn’t they have chosen biodegradable ones that would break down eventually? And straws! We don’t need straws! Not only that, but there are so many of us all dancing around and eating and drinking that this stuff is getting knocked all over the ground and danced on and crushed. Everywhere I look around this party it seems like there’s litter! And there is way too much food here for all of us too! So I asked Stoogles what was going to happen to all of the leftover food and he was like “Oh, that? I guess we’ll just chuck it.” Chuck it? What a waste! And they have these colored lights up everywhere even though … Read more

Stoogles’ Birthday: Coming Up Fast

Hi! It’s Salley. Wow. Is Stoogles ever excited about his birthday, or what? Googles love parties – that’s for sure! Everybody has been talking about the party and shopping for gifts for him. I know Cowabelle and Roberta were thinking of going in together to get him a new skateboard and they were going to custom paint it. Polly said she saw a cool shirt in the Big City and she was going to see if they have something similar in the KinzStyle Outlet. Alex wants to get him a science book and Sparky said he hasn’t decided yet because there is just too much to choose from in his Uncle Arte’s Curio Shop. He better hurry up! I think that Stoogles is going to love all of those gifts, but I’m having a really hard time deciding what I want to get for him. He is my best friend after all. The thing is I really want to be environmentally responsible this year. I want to get Stoogles an environmentally friendly gift. I was thinking that I could plant a tree for him in the Caring Valley, but I kind of want to give him something he could have … Read more
