No, you must adopt the Pet of the Month during its featured month to get the Pet of the Month loot bag. You can participate in the extra activities, though.

I currently have the Polar Cub, I adopted him on October 30th of last year, and he’s this months pet of the month, but I didn’t receive my prize box. Will it be in the Today’s Activities to click on at some point since I didn’t adopt him this month, but in a previous month?
