Significant changes to either the Desktop App or the Mobile App is not an easy thing to do. The mobile app is basically all of the updated parts of the desktop app — the rest is even older code. Significant updates would need a complete rewrite of the code for both mobile and desktop.

I know what you mean. I don’t understand why they can’t update Webkinz Mobile to include more of the activities that we can only do on the desktop. I have 5 accounts and only had time to open one account on my phone to get the SantaKinz gift on Christmas Day. We were busy with Christmas and I didn’t have time to get back on my phone to check the other 4 accounts. Needless to say, there was no gift boxes in my remaining accounts the next day. I don’t understand why the SantaKinz gift couldn’t stay in our Dock until we get the chance to open it? It’s disappointing and frustrating! All that time spent going to the Club House to meet SantaKinz, waiting in line, choosing a gift, then waiting for weeks till Christmas, then having to do real Christmas with the real family, and not spending time sitting at a computer or on your mobile app, and missing out on the Webkinz gifts we were “supposed” to get from SantaKinz, simply because we don’t get onto our Webkinz Accounts? It’s just not right nor fair to do that to Webkinz Players. Upgrading the Mobile App would help, I think. :-( @horseshoe23, I am farout1. Friend me and I can send you a few Winterfest prizes when I can. :-)

With the latest update, the Desktop app for Classic now tries to get permissions for my camera. My security software pops a warning up every time I open the app and blocks it. What’s up with that??? WHY would you need to use my camera (which I keep covered anyway). My kids aren’t minors any more and have the same security software, so its less of an issue, but not what I expect from Webkinz/Ganz. Seems odd, so thought I’d mention it.
