I am with you both. I like the common pets best. I guess why Classic still is my favourite game. I have one pet now in Next that makes everyone squirm when I show it to them.

Hello kalcan8! I hope you had a good weekend! I sparked my bay horse with a 1st generation lop bunny twice. The first time I sparked the blackberry giraffe redemption pet and the second time I was happy to receive my common bay horse with a lop bunny patch on her back. @mabel3, what other pet did you use to spark with your bay horse? I have not sparked mine yet at all, because I am a little spark-shy based on my past track record. I would be crushed to not get the opportunity to carry on my bay horse family. My only dragon so far has produced one wolf hybrid with dragon traits, which is very cool, but I REALLY want at least one dragon baby, so now I am hesitant.

Yes! I completely agree! I have limited funds for sparks, and when I used the single spark from my 20 year tiger and got a limited edition silver-toed sloth, it was actually a bit of a letdown. Not that I don’t appreciate the adorable sloth, it’s just that I will never have any more tigers and get to experience the joy of all of the different available traits that the tiger can have. For people like me, the trait charts are almost a bit of a tease, as they seem forever out-of-reach. I would like to have at least a little say so I am not always stuck with only one of many species, and with a boatload of another species. And, as much as I love my unicorn herd, I don’t want their horns showing up on every other pet that I spark them with. I have a baby gorilla with a horn, and when he gets grumpy, he looks dangerous. *sigh*

Sally, you must be thrilled with your green highland baby! As for me, I love the “common” babies. I sparked a cute bay horse baby with common traits and I’m thrilled with her bay colour and adorable dappling above her hooves (just like on your highland baby). I am one of the players that wish we could have a smidgeon of say in how our babies will look like (not so much as to ruin the surprise, of course!) but enough that we could request certain colour groups (natural or rainbow) or an optional restriction that would not allow a rhino horn on a bunny for example. All in all, though, I have sparked two babies now after thinking that it wasn’t my thing and I think I may be hooked ;)

My favorite pet this week is Sally’s purple and yellow ice dragon baby. The color combo makes me think of Spring flowers in our family gardens. So, Sally, when you are wistful for Spring, just take a look at your Ice Dragon (I know that sounds strange!) and remember crocuses and pansies, and hopefully you will get a warm happy feeling! Congrats to all of the featured new Next parents this week!
