Update: Turns out there was food in the Golden Hipppo Fridge. I took it out, and was able to trade it and… my trading partner didn’t want it! Hee! Even though what they were trading was nowhere near as valuable. Trading is definitely risky business. I haven’t made a successful trade in the last 10 times I’ve tried.

Actually I do have a couple of the Egyptian items to trade in the trading rooms, but the room won’t let me trade them. Well at least not the Golden Hippo Fridge in the regular trading room. It tells me “this item is not tradeable. Please try another item.” Which is odd, because it will let me trade things from the Scientific theme, and that one has been retired for almost as long if not longer. No one seems to want the Scientific theme though, even though it’s pretty rare as far as I know and is one of my favorite themes.

Actually, I have an extra Golden Hippo Fridge… and it won’t let me trade it in the trading room. At least not the regular one. I don’t know why. I would love to be able to trade it for something in this theme I don’t have, but maybe this theme isn’t trade-able?

I agree! I looked for items in this theme since I started playing and learned about them. I am still missing quite a few; I would LOVE another chance at these; the trading room is not something that really works out for me, and this theme is so desirable that if someone had something to trade they would want the world for it. REBOOT? PLEASE?

I love how Webkinz took the time and effort to use real hieroglyphics, even if they aren’t in an order that makes sense. I also like how the used Ra’s name. He was the ancient Egyptian sun god.

Yes, there is a hippo poster…but it’s part of the “Cafe” theme, not the “Egyptian” theme. Currently, it’s only 300 KC in the WShop (and you don’t have to be a Deluxe member to buy it!)

It’s sad to see this retired :( I haven’t been able to collect it all and I love this theme.
