I just noticed the turtle in the orchard barn looks like it could be Franklin. Now I’m wondering if that was the goal or if it’s just a coincidence. XD

That would be a great idea for a pet. And I’m sure that if they wanted to base a pet after Snoopy they could just try to get the right copyright permissions to do it. They have done a pet before from another movie. They did the rabbit from the movie Hop.
