The actual creative part of a pet (design and art) only takes a few days and new pets are usually done a few weeks before they're released. The biggest wait factor is if a plush is needed, and those are designed, created and prepared many months in advanced. We actually have a 'vault' (more like a big room), that have all the new pet prototypes lined up by upcoming months. It's really cool to go in there. ;) Hm, not long.
