Yeah, this is why I don’t write “Not Kid Friendly” names in game. I keep them all family friendly and safe, some of my Webkinz names are silly. Heck, some are inspired by Disney and my other favorite fandoms I enjoy! And some of them had little typo from me when I was little.

True I wish that to not only Webkinz Classic but Roblox has similar issues it’s like bad actors are trying to ruin fun for kids. I just hope that Webkinz both Classic and next will NOT have AI age verification that’s why I moved back to Webkinz plus nostalgia.

Thank you, Webkinz, for taking this action. My daughter has been noticing and reading these names for quite some time now. I wish people would remember that at it’s core this is a KIDS game. Am I glad that adults are enjoying playing? Yes. Do I occasionally get on and play some games? Yes. But as an adult, these inappropriate names are a minor inconvenience. Rude and upsetting, absolutely, but totally different for a child that reads them and then has questions. Really appreciate this action being taken here.

One can’t help but wonder why things have gotten coarser and crueler and crooked over such a relatively short period of time. Thank you, Webkinz, for a safe space to enjoy games and a little bit of fantasy.

I assume it’s because if you remove the space between “of” and “art” there’s a slightly rude word in there? But I still think that it’s pretty ridiculous. I’m all for going after the hateful, homophobic names, though. I also think it’s silly to ban common words like “basement” and “Peek-a-Boo” just because of words embedded within them. I mean, there is absolutely nothing even *remotely* inappropriate about the word “basement”.
