The browser version should theoretically be compatible with Linux, but I don’t believe that’s a platform that is specifically being tested at this time. We all have our own accounts, but most of our videos are done on our testing accounts as they feature content that isn’t available on the live site.

The official webkinz account clarified in a few reddit posts awhile back that some of those old features such as visiting houses and party packs are part of the plan!

I do believe the official webkinz account mentioned on the webkinz subreddit in a comment that they have plans to bring back the party packs or at least attempt to!

Sally, will I finally be able to play Webkinz on Linux or will the browser version not work? I was able to create a bottle in Linux to download the Classic app, but it’s so slow that it’s not very functional. And will it ever be possible to play Webkinz Next on Linux? One more thing, I’m just curious – do Karl and the other Webkinz team members actually play the game for real? As in just for fun and not as part of testing development. I noticed the account shown in this video had a lot of KC and e-store points. I think it would be pretty cool and kind of funny if the answer is yes and if they actually soend their own money on estore points.

I just thought of something else I would love to see as part of a QOL update. Making it that our pets don’t have to sleep anymore, or else make it that they are put to bed via a sleep button vs having to lay in a bed. Have both ways as an option. I have always disliked that after X we needed to have a bed in every single room, or else you have to listen to the annoying sound of a tired pet or constantly be asked to do things by the pet.

I am so excited to hear we will be able to play more on the phone app. I am away a lot but still love to play this game but not much to do. I miss the daily activities unless I am on my PC. Side note will there be any chance of having the parties come back or the Wacky Log out games??? Those were So So much Fun. A Big Thank You to everyone that is helping make this happen :D

Something I would really love to see, even if it means a break from new content as far as items, challenges, events, etc go, would be a period of QOL focused updates. I have seen a lot of older games do this after years of pumping out new content, they shift focus for a while to just making the current game better. Make it work better, more user friendly, work out a lot of bugs, add things people can use to make life easier in the game. Like search features for the dock, for room names and even for searching for items within rooms, would be amazing. Making community codes be entered as one line like next, instead of four segments. Maybe more categories for the dock as well, like separating seeds from food, dividing the furniture into categories like tables, chairs, etc. Fixing bugs that cropped up with changes to X, like how some pets can’t wear hats without it going over their whole face/head, and others have them floating above their heads. I have a lot of pets who have weird issues where their faces turns into another pet when they use an action that faces the camera. Several clothing items have weird issues like they blink weird blue smears when in the clubhouse, even though they look normal in the room. Some items even changed totally when they were made to work on X (maybe someone was color blind?), I would love to see them restored to their real color and design. I think it would be on par with adding back in old features as well, like hopefully, mazin hamsters, room parties, inviting people to your house… etc.

Im so excited to see what new features will be added , I miss going to my friends’ houses as well so I hope that is fixed too !!:D
