We generally get the Monday off if a stat holiday falls on the weekend, whether it's the Saturday or the Sunday. Some holidays are only observed federally (so if you work for the government or the bank), so some people get more than others. Of course, depending on the industry, companies may make other arrangements to provide a different lieu day for the holiday, but in our case, we get the Monday.
