**3rd party sellers that regularly shipped droves of them outside the United States and Canada. I don’t think Ganz themselves ever shipped them outside the US and Canada at any point in time.

I don’t think they ever will be, unfortunately. The only time they were shipped internationally was when they were sold by 3rd party sellers and that was a long time ago back when Webkinz was extremely popular. Webkinz are popular now but not even a fraction of the extent that they were in 2008. So I don’t think this is likely, unfortunately :(

I had to wait for a day when I had the free time to drive about 35 minutes to find a small pharmacy that sold Webkinz back in October, and after just that 4-day wait, they had already sold out of the ones I wanted. I’m not getting my hopes up for the new releases this month, as badly as I want one of the new pets. I can’t really justify the price, either. Sure, Webkinz plush pets are collectors’ items, and it’s always an option to just buy a Deluxe membership and enjoy the benefits of online play without buying a new pet at all. But it shifts the focus away from what made Webkinz unique and personalized in the first place. The online resellers are a problem that should have been very predictable as a result of this strategy, and there’s been no transparency as to why the plush pets are being released so selectively when there’s pretty clear demand. I’m sad, but I guess I’m going to have to wait and see what happens as time goes on.

so true, what is wrong with our stores they need these, it’s always been this way, for us to, when we go on vacation was the only time I would find a store that had them, I would yell yes they have them, all the time, and run through the store with excitement, to find anything webkinz, then we had a local store that had so many, I go each week, to look at them, all. lined up shelves full, thanks to webkinz, and those stores that made our day, and we brought our pets home, a forever home.
