Webkinz team! What if there were stages of crowns. One of each gem gets you the basic crown, 10 of each gem gets you the next upgraded crown, so on an so forth? That could be interesting in both Next and Classic.

I’m surprised most people sell! My approach has always been to keep, because if I need more KinzCash, I can earn more in the arcade, but if I need a certain gem, I’ll have to play the odds to try to get it. Granted, I’ve got about 30 of each gem at this point, so I haven’t exactly been using them… I hope we’ll see more of Doug’s prizes moved over from Classic as recipes, that’d be nice. Still, you can win 250 KC in a long game of Dragon Stones, and that’s usually more than most gems sell for.

After getting at least one crown on each account for the collector in me, I made sure to keep at least two of every gem (more of the common) and started crafting. I also try to find the gem of the day, mining only those color gem rocks, hoping to get a premium price. (I once received 600KC for a Hopeful Diamond when it was the gem of the day!) I have a rough guideline for myself when it comes to selling, so I get a fair price for each gem: Common (at least 60 KC), Uncommon (at least 120 KC), Rare (at least 180 KC). That guideline goes out the window once I get 10 of any gem. Then I generally just sell for whatever Amanda is offering. The only exception to this is the Candy Carnelian gem as it is used in a cute cake recipe invented by gbjockey2. https://webkinznewz.ganzworld.com/announcements/player-designed-cake-is-ready-to-bake/

The crown used to sell for 10KC, I have proof of such. Now they’ve changed it to 250 which is equivalent almost to the 2500 the classic one sells for but it’s still pretty bad on price.
