Webkinz Desktop App is Available Now!

Back in March we announced the development of our browser-free, full-screen Desktop App for Windows. Well, the wait is over and the application is ready to download today!

Click here to get Webkinz Desktop App for Windows.

Once the download completes, run the installer and you’ll get the new app with an icon on your desktop. Our app automatically updates itself, so you’ll always have the latest and greatest version – no more downloads needed!

Again, this version is for Windows computers only, but we’re happy to announce that the Mac version is going very well and we expect it to be in release state much sooner than first planned! Stay tuned. Also, as a reminder, this application does require the Flash player to remain on your computer, but if you’re playing Webkinz on your PC now, you already have Flash and nothing needs to change.

Finally we’d like to put out a special thanks to all of the Webkinz players who helped us beta test our Desktop App. With your input we’ve created the best, most secure way to play Webkinz ever!

Have fun and let us know below what you think of the new app! We love reading your feedback.

I just copied this off of Adobe’s site…….. Adobe is planning to end-of-life Flash. Specifically, we will stop updating and distributing the Flash Player at the end of 2020 and encourage content creators to migrate any existing Flash content to new open formats. That’s it in a nutshell. Adobe said they will end of life flash. I let my deluxe account go that I had on my main account for years and have decided that there’s no use in putting any more time into Webkinz since it continues to use old technology and will go no where. Unfortunately I will miss all my beloved Webbies. I am so sad by the situation. I’ve seen so much content made over the years for the estore, if half as much effort was put into keeping up with technology instead of making money we would not be in this predicament. The goal should have always been the players first, if that was the case we would’ve had new theme’s to buy with kinzcash introduced very frequently as well.

Browser supported Flash is ending. Flash itself will still exist & be used for lots of things, just not browser support, so we’ll have to use the new apps to play Webkinz.

It’s been fine so far just a little getting use to like where to hit the arrows on fashion in the school and the little ok buttons cause if I don’t do it right my dock leaves the page and I have to pull it up again no big deal

Can you guys work on an update to have the option of a windowed mode on the app instead of just full screen? I have sensory issues so except when I go to the curio shop or other certain places, I like to play with the game muted and have spotify or another music thing or a youtube video I’ve seen before running instead, and it’s really boring just having it muted and nothing else on

Hey there! So, I have flash on my computer, but when I go to try and run the app, it says I have to install flash to play the game. But I already have flash. help?

So the downloaded version won’t work on my computer. I’ve tried looking up answers; and the “link” within the message box saying to download flash is broken. Webkinz works fine on the browser though, but I’d love to play it through the download!

Just curious, will Webkinz stop existing after flash stops? Also, will mac eventually have a desktop app as well as windows?
