I know how you feel, Skiddly. Your local library is a good place to start for ideas for free summer fun.I look up online all the botanical gardens & museums near where I live. They all have a free-to-the-public day every month, & my family goes then. Boy & Girl Scouts is one of the best deals going as far as low cost programs, & we have a blast! And there’s always the park.

Wait a minute, when did Booger blow something up? That sounds a little dangerous… I think Molly’s right about the baby, though. One of my friends’ little brother is absolutely horrible. I hope your parents will punish him/her when they’re older and start knowingly doing naughty things, or you’ll wind up with a tiny terror. I love camping, Chicago Made! Sure, it’s a bit messy and dirty and stuff, and I still scream every time I see an icky bug that looks like it’s gonna bite, but making s’mores, singing campfire songs, canoeing, hiking… it’s all so fun. ~CC~

Skiddly, You know what I did? My public library has a free summer reading program! Check your local library, and see if they have a reading program! Mine has a chart, and if you read two hours you mark off the box and receive a raffle ticket for a $15.00 gift card! There also is a book review and this year, a street smart quiz. If you turn those in, you receive additional prizes! If you want to make more money, have a yard sale, or sell old things to the secondhand shop. Chores don’t have to be boring! If you are organizing art supplies, get areas for the items FIRST before you sort them. This will make it more fun! These are just ideas you can use over the summer AND the rest of the year! And maybe you’ll save up enough to play a sport or go to camp!

I’m going to a camp over the weekend of my birthday. My Girl Scout Service Unit is running it, which is awesome, and we are going to be doing many activities, including my troop’s research report and display board on France. I’m making the entire display board! It’s going to be so much fun! Oh, I can’t wait! My birthday is in TWELVE DAYS!
