Dear Cowabelle,
I fear you are not being like your own sweet self these days! When someone gives you a gift, whatever it is, the appropriate response is, “Thank you for thinking of me!” If you really like it, you can then gush about it. If you do not like it, you keep quiet. And, within a couple days, you sit down and write a thank you note for each and every gift. That is what happens in my house.
