They are file formats that pictures can be saved as. You'll need to open your picture in an editing program like paint, and try to save it as a different format.

What file format is your image? If it’s a PNG or BMP, it will not work, and it won’t give you an error message.

No, there wasn’t any text at the top of the screen… and I used my laptop…

If you’re using a PC, press ALT and PRINT SCREEN on your keyboard, then open Paint and paste. You can then save it as a JPG. (You may need to resize the image — please check the help file for instructions.) If you’re using a Mac, press Command, Shift and the number 4, and then drag to select the area you want to take a picture of. It will save to your desktop as a PNG. You will need to open it and save it as a JPG.
