I’m sorry Salley :( sort of the same thing happened to me. My dad is going to be in a whole different country on thanksgiving this year! What my family decided to do was to celebrate thanksgiving twice. Once the weekend before with my dad, and once on actual thanksgiving day! I hope you find your answer soon! -Thoughtfulkinzer

I don’t think Salley’s parents are friends, tita 1101. They never seem to talk with each other or work together. That’s the problem. And Salley is left feeling guilty no matter what she does.

the choice is your dad. you dont see him that often right? well you obvoiusly see your mom more. and it would break your dads heart if you canceled on him after everything. i dont know your life so i might be wrong but i think your dad is the best choice to go to this thanksgiving and if your mom does not understand she should. when is the last holiday you really ever spent with your dad? hes excited to be with you he probably misses you i mean you ARE his duaghter and family is important. spend time with him. and if you explain this to your mom she will probably understand! :) good luck
