I worked really hard on my poem, because it was originally a school assignment. My teacher thought it was really good, so I was a little disappointed. Here is my poem if you are interested: What is blue? Blue is the aroma of sea salt whipping your face as you sail A rare moon twinkling on an extraordinary night The soft touch of a Jay’s feather The water gliding over you as you dive into a race A cannonball splash splashing your face when you’re in dry clothes Waves crashing violently against the rocks in the storm The midnight sky with silver diamonds, that looks tiny from earth Salty, wet tears that you taste as they stream down your face A spark of happiness and energy when it’s most needed The gentle Caribbean waves rolling over my toes as I sit in the sand Fragrant flowers in my garden A brilliant sapphire glistening in the sun The sound of a rushing waterfall A sweet candy melting in my mouth My gym uniform A glossy shine on a dolphin’s back This is blue!
