Interview with the Polar Bear
Dear readers, It’s me, Ella McWoof, Jr. Reporter at large! I got a chance to sit down and chat with one cool polar bear – the Iceman himself from December’s Pet of the Month video! Here’s what he had to say. EM: So, Iceman, thanks for joining us today! IM: No problem, Ella! I’m glad to be here. EM: I guess I’ll ask the question on everyone’s mind: where in Webkinz World did you learn to play the sax? IM: Ah, it’s a skill I’ve had for a long time, Ella! I learned from my dad – he was a bluesy, jazzy bear. He taught me everything I know when I was just a cub. Playin’ the sax is pretty much my favorite thing to do. That’s why I was so pleased to star in the Polar Bear’s pet of the month video. EM: And a great video it is! Not only is the song totally catchy, the video is also really funny! Webkinz Jr.: Time to Take a Field Trip!
Visit Webkinz Jr. and you’ll see a brand new yellow school bus parked near the Little Acorn Academy. Hop aboard to take a field trip with Miss Lily and explore a totally NEW map! On the new map, you’ll see the first of many field trip locations – the fire station. You can go there to explore, play some activities, and learn about what our friends the firefighters do.

Great News for Webkinz Jr. Deluxe Members!

Webkinz Year In Review
As is often the tradition around this time of year, we've taken a look back at all that's happened over the year past, and we thought we'd share our reflections. Here's are some of the highlights that defined Webkinz World, Webkinz Newz, and the Ganz eStore in 2009: The Zumbuddies came to Webkinz World, giving players the ability to visit the beautiful land of Zumwhere. The Caring Valley, where players can plant saplings to help Webkinz Foundation contribute to charitable causes, opened. Deluxe Membership was introduced, giving players another way to stay active in Webkinz World with exclusive items. It was also later expanded to allow the gifting of Deluxe Memberships. Signature Pets, a line of special, more luxurious pets with additional prizes, were launched. Those are just a few of the big stories for the year. The Webkinz Jr. Gift Book has Arrived!
The Webkinz Jr. Gift Book is finally here! To see the Gift Book, just visit your playroom. Click on the Gift Book and pick the gift you’d like Santakinz to bring you. Click the checkmark when you’ve made your choice, and your letter to Santakinz will be sent. Log into Webkinz Jr. on Christmas day to open your gift! You’re sure to have a happy holiday in our neighborhood!
Rosie’s Bakery is Open for Business!
We’ve got some exciting news from our Webkinz Jr. neighborhood! Rosie (with the help of her husband Burt) has opened a fantastic bakery with a couple of sweet activities! Help Rosie count cookies or bake cakes for her friends—and don’t forget to try the treat she’s baked just for your pet! There will be lots more to do at Rosie’s Bakery in the coming months, so be sure to visit often and see what’s new!

Webkinz Jr. at Indigo in Toronto
If you’re in the Toronto area, Webkinz Jr. will be at the Indigo store at Yorkdale Shopping Center on Thursday, November 26 from 12:00-2:00 PM. Drop in and do a craft, have a snack and learn all about Webkinz Jr.! There will also be draws for a chance to win a free Webkinz Jr. pet!
Getting Ready for Halloween in Webkinz Jr.!
If you’re looking for a few monstrously good pieces of furniture, it’s time to visit the Playroom section of the W Shop! Pick up our brand new Monster Sofa, Monster TV and Monster toy box and you can get your playroom ready for Halloween! You can also pick up two new shirts and two new pairs of pants, just perfect for the spooky day! Visit the KinzPost Office and you’ll see that Nutmeg has added a fun new Halloween card that kids can send to their friends and characters in Webkinz Jr.! Check the Parent’s Mail in the Parent’s Area and you’ll see a new Halloween card that you can send to your child! We hope you like our new additions, and that you and your child are getting ready for a spook-tacular Halloween!
All about the Webkinz Jr. Friends List
Calling all Webkinz Jr. fans! As you may have noticed, we've added a fantastic KinzPost Office to Webkinz Jr. It's so much fun to send cards to your friends and family! Parents, if you want to add a friend to your child's Friends List, just log into the Parent's Area (from the Webkinz Jr. homepage) and click on your child's name. Click on their Friends List button and you'll see your child's list. We always add your username to your child's Friends List, along with one Webkinz Jr. character. If you send a card to the Webkinz Jr. character, they'll send one back! To add someone else to your child's Friends List (either a friend with a Webkinz Jr. account or another Webkinz Jr. character), just type the friend's username (or Webkinz Jr. character's name) into the text field. Click "add" and a friend request will be sent to your friend. If they accept it, they'll appear on your list and you'll be on theirs. Webkinz Jr. characters are added automatically. We hope you and your child have a ton of fun sending cards to your friends!

Webkinz Jr. is happy to announce the addition of some great new features! If you want to give the front of your house a new coat of paint, we've added two new colors to the W Shop. Visit the "Outdoors" category and click on the "Paint" section to pick up outrageous orange or terrific turquoise! You can also hear a brand new song by Bebop and the Beats. Check out the TV in your playroom and you might just get to hear a song about different types of shapes. Finally, take a trip to the park and click on Ranger Kenny. He needs your help with a brand new challenge! Look around town for all of the items Kenny needs to find. We're always adding lots of great new things to Webkinz Jr., so be sure to visit us all the time!
