Our policy is that ads on webkinz.com must represent quality, family-friendly products and services, if you find any that you think violates this policy please bring that to our attention by contacting Customer Service.

Ganz is committed to being highly responsible in our approach to advertising and the advertisers we allow on webkinz.com. Although Ganz may adapt this Ad Policy from time to time (effective upon posting or webkinz.com), our current approach to advertising may be summed up as follows:

  • Advertisers should represent quality, family-friendly products and services;
  • We offer parents of Active Users (defined below) an easy-to-activate option of not viewing third party ads.

 

Webkinz.com users may limit third party ads.

Parents of webkinz.com users with a redeemed Secret/Adoption Code for a Webkinz pet or Deluxe upgrade (“Active Users”) may limit third party ads. To opt out of viewing third party ads on webkinz.com, visit the “Account Controls” section of the Parent’s Area and select the limit ads option. Please note that the option is not available to Free and Alumni users but these users may still be able to opt out of third party cookies by following the steps outlined below. Once third party ads are blocked, if you clear computer’s cache and/or cookies, or access webkinz.com from another computer, third party ad campaigns within webkinz.com will continue to be limited. Note that you will need to limit third party ads again in order to prevent them from appearing on the home, login, and logout pages, as well as pages that follow the logout page.

 

All advertising content served on webkinz.com must be approved by Ganz.

Ganz may serve ads on webkinz.com from its own servers or allow third party advertising service providers to serve advertisements from their servers. Regardless of whether the ad comes from the Ganz’s server or that of the third party advertising service provider, Ganz reviews and approves all ads served on webkinz.com. Ganz reserves the right to unilaterally omit or cancel, following publication, those ads that violate our advertising standards outlined in this Ad Policy. If we find out that the authorized third party advertising service providers have breached their contractual commitment to only serve content appropriate for webkinz.com audience and not to track, profile or target webkinz.com users via webkinz.com, Ganz will take prompt action, which may include termination of business dealings with the advertising service provider.

 

Ganz does not permit the use of cookies on webkinz.com for online behavioral advertising.

Ganz may rely on unique identifiers such as cookies (which may be HTML files, Flash files, or other technology), web beacons, or similar technologies to gather user data and may allow others to do so in connection with webkinz.com. For more information, and your options regarding controlling cookies, see our Children’s Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”). In particular, Ganz allows the use of cookies for ad campaign analytics and frequency capping, and for segregating webkinz.com users from profiling for online behavioral advertising purposes. In addition, Ganz may use web beacons to track the effectiveness of a particular advertising campaign. As more fully explained in our Privacy Policy, Ganz does not use or disclose webkinz.com user information collected in connection with webkinz.com for online behavioral targeted advertising. Ganz does not seek access to your online profile, if any have been built by third party advertising service providers, to serve you ads on webkinz.com. Our Privacy Policy further describes how Ganz treats personal information and the scope of cookie use permitted on webkinz.com. Third party use of cookies and web beacons is subject to their own privacy policies.

We are not responsible for these third parties and their practices and we strongly recommend that you review their privacy policies before disclosing any personal information on the promotion registration form or otherwise to them.
