BIG NEWS! Our popular Webkinz arcade game GOOBER’S LAB can now be played on your Apple or Android mobile device!

But instead of releasing it as part as the Webkinz mobile app arcade, we’re making it the first in an upcoming series of standalone games! This means you can download the game from the App Store or the Google Play Store and then play it without ever having to log in to your Webkinz account.

You can still earn KinzCash by playing the game, and at the end of each game, you can then choose to log in and send the KinzCash you earned during that single play to any account!

*PLEASE NOTE: Your mobile device will need to have an internet connection in order to send KinzCash to an account, and you have to send it at the end of each game, otherwise it won’t be saved.

*PLEASE ALSO NOTE: The Goober’s Lab Trophy cannot be won in this standalone version of the game.

The mobile version looks just like the classic web game, with some minor layout updates for mobile screens, along with many major technical upgrades to make it work faster and better than ever before!

Goober has spent so many years in his lab that he no longer remembers what formula he’s looking for. You can help!

Make lines of three or more atoms to help Goober with his formula. Longer lines are worth more points. Four in a row creates an unstable atom. Five in a row creates a bonus atom.

Fill Goober’s beaker to complete a level. If you run out of time, it’s game over!

This new version of Goober’s Lab will be coming to Webkinz.com and the Webkinz mobile app sometime in the near future, but if you’ve ever wanted to play the game without having to log into your account, or you just want to earn KinzCash for someone, then you’ll love to play this way!

Roberta here with some fun camp games to play. We did all three of these this morning at craft camp (it was a special outdoor fun day today). I hope you like them as much as I did!

Game 1: Wacky Words

This was a warm up game and it was a lot of fun! The counselor called out a word that was three or more letters long and each team (there were five teams of four kids each) wrote it on the left side of a piece of paper. They then wrote the same word backwards on the right side. Then we tried to make words by filling letters in the middle. This is how one of ours turned out:

 It’s not as easy as it first looks! Also, we had a time limit of only two minutes! 

Game 2: Veggie Soup

In this game, everyone was named one of four vegetables: carrot, potato, cucumber or bean. Everyone was seated on a chair in a circle to begin the game, and then one kid got up and called the name of a vegetable (like “carrots!”). All the carrots had to get up from their seat, run into the middle of the circle and then run back to find a chair. Whoever was left standing called another vegetable name. If the kid called “Veggie soup!” we all had to get up, run into the middle and then find a new chair. We stopped when we got REALLY tired!

Game 3: Mystery Kid

I really liked this game! Everyone stood in a circle. One kid was ‘it’. The kid who was ‘it’ secretly chose a kid in the circle. We were able to ask ‘it’ questions about the chosen kid, to try and figure out who it was. As we asked questions, kids sat down if they didn’t fit the description. For instance, the first question we asked was “is it a boy?” and kid who was it said “no”, so all the boys sat down. The next question was “does the kid have a skirt on?” and the kid who was it said no, so all the girls in skirts sat down. We kept playing until only one kid was left standing: me! I got to be the next ‘it’!

Well, that was a TON of fun! The Games are over and everyone is still talking about the two most wonderful stories of the day…but first, the results of the soccer game: green team wins! Hooray to extra dessert!

In relay news, the blue and red teams tied – so they’ll be getting to avoid camp chores tomorrow (lucky!).

OK, so here’s awesome story number one: remember how Bennie sprained his wrist? Well, it definitely was NOT better in time for the canoeing event, so Sparky got to choose ANYONE else in camp to help him win the race – and he chose Ivy! Even though Fluffington wasn’t TOO happy about letting her participate, Sparky convinced him – and they won! I think they’re definitely friends again – hooray!

And awesome story number two: the winner of our Rock Paper Scissors championship is none other than our very own…Roberta Rabbit! She successfully defeated all other opponents and made it to the top. Great job, Roberta!

Well, I’d say that’s another successful Camp Games! Until next time, friends!

Ella McWoof here again, with some exciting developments from the St. Bernard Summer Camp Games!  We’ve got some results – and they’re quite interesting! Listen up, sports fans!

The Archery event was very exciting – more so when Nibbles nearly shot an arrow through Fluffington’s hat! Fortunately his headwear narrowly escaped damage, and Molly Pig was declared the victor!

The Obstacle Course was really tricky – more than one camper needed a LONG rest after they were done. While Benny St. Bernard had a good lead, he slipped on the climbing structure and seems to have sprained his wrist pretty badly. He insists he’ll still be able to paddle this afternoon, but this reporter has her doubts. Anyway, this event ended in an exhilarating tie between Alex Tiger and Salley Cat.

The Bean Bag Toss was a TON of fun to watch (there were bean bags flying EVERYWHERE), and the winner was none other than everyone’s favorite superstar, Dacey Bryn!

The Soccer Game is still on, but it looks like the green team is going to win – and that would mean extra dessert for my cabin (gooooo green team!).

Ella McWoof here at the St. Bernard Summer Camp Games, waiting for Fluffington to give the opening whistle – and then the games will officially begin!

Today, competitors will be participating in several different events. Let’s take a closer look at them:

Archery – Everyone thinks Molly Pig is a definite favorite to win this event. Of course, there may be a tie – which is why archery is so exciting!

Obstacle Course – One of the more physically exhausting events, the obstacle course consists of a path of tires, a climbing wall, crawling through mud (under a fence), running through a sprinkler (to get rid of the mud, I guess), and kicking a soccer ball down the field and through the goal posts. This is going to be an exciting one to watch! It’s anyone’s game!

Bean Bag Tossing – Who will throw their bean bag the farthest? Who will get the most bags in the basket? I know I’ll be sitting on the edge of my seat during this event!

Soccer – I personally LOVE soccer, so I’m excited about this event. In fact, that’s the only downside to being a reporter – you have to cover the games, but you can’t participate!

Relay – Relays are usually a lot of fun, but we’ve upped the challenge on this one and made it an EGG relay! Not only do our campers have to pass the egg (on a spoon) to their teammates, but they also have to avoid breaking the egg!

Canoeing Challenge – Our best paddlers are going to take to the lake for a variety of different challenges. I think Sparky is a favorite to win this one, especially since he’s teamed up with Benny. The two of them are a powerhouse of canoeing awesomeness!

Rock Paper Scissors – OK, so it’s not exactly physically challenging, but it IS fun – and the best part is that you keep playing until someone wins! Who will be the top RPS player at St. Bernard Summer Camp? Only time will tell! Right now, I’ve got to go – Fluffington just blew his whistle!

Hula hoops, skipping rope, lawn chairs, two 1-liter pop bottles (with water or sand in them to make them heavier), ball

What you do:

1.       Put the hula hoops on the grass in an off-center pattern. Have people hop through them.

2.       Lay the skipping rope on the grass and have people walk across it like it’s a high wire.

3.       Set the lawn chairs up in a row and crawl under them.

4.       Set up the pop bottles like goal posts. Kick the ball through them.

5.       Invite your friends to try your course. For extra fun, try timing the events and see who can do the course the fastest!

I am SO excited, friends. Want to know why? Because I, Molly Pig, am going to win the archery event at the Camp Games! I’ve been practicing and practicing and I CAN’T wait to win that badge! I’m going to hang it on my wall when I get home. There are SO many fun events at the Camp Games. There’s canoeing and running and an obstacle course and even a rock paper scissors marathon! I’m counting down the hours until it’s time for the games!

It’s PJ Collie. I know you’re used to seeing me in the KinzStyle Outlet, but a little known fact about me is that I am AWESOME at games! That’s why, in my role as Camp Counselor, I am coaching sports and organizing games. We started archery practice this week and the kids are doing really well.

But I’m really excited because I’m planning a big games day at the end of camp. I’m trying to come up with a list of fun games we can play.

I thought a potato sack race would be super fun! Here’s how you play:

-          We’ll put down two long pieces of rope to represent a starting line and a finish line about twenty feet apart

-          At the starting line, each camper climbs into a large burlap sack

-          When I blow the whistle, all the campers start hopping in their sacks toward the finish line

-          Campers have to stay in their bags or they’ll be disqualified

-          The first camper across the finish line wins

I can’t wait to see all the campers hopping and falling on their way to the finish line! It should be hilarious!

What you need:

• 2 Blue Foam Boards
• Cotton Balls
• Zumbuddies Pictures
• Sharp Knife
• Pencil
• Hot Glue gun
• Hot Glue
• Scissors

What you do:

1. Take two large pieces of blue foam board.
2. In one of the pieces of foam board, cut 3 holes big enough for the Zums to fit through. Have an adult do the cutting with a sharp knife.
3. Take the second piece of foam board and cut it in half, lengthwise.
4. Take each of these halves, measure half way down the long edge and make with a pencil.
5. Mark the middle of the short sides.
6. Draw a line between the two marks.
7. Cut along this line on both pieces. Discard the small cut off pieces.
8. Hot glue the straight side of one of the half pieces of foam board to the back, right side of the whole piece of foam board with the holes cut in it.
9. Hot glue the straight side of the second half piece to the back of the left side of the whole piece of foam boards.
10. Print pictures of Zumbuddies.
11. Cut the Zumbuddies pictures and paste them on the foam board.
12. Hot glue cotton balls around the holes to look like clouds
