What you need: paper towel tube, scissors, gold paint and paintbrush or gold ribbon, gold glitter, craft glue

What you do:
1. Cut 2 your paper towel tube into two inch sections.

2. Paint each section gold OR wrap each section in gold ribbon (secure with craft glue).

3. When the paint or glue is dry, it’s time to decorate with glitter!

4. Using your craft glue, make a design on the paint or ribbon. Sprinkle the design with glitter and let it dry.

5. Use your napkin rings for special meals!

What you need:

Bristol board, gold paint, pencil, scissors, plastic jewels or buttons, fabric paint, tape measure, craft glue, stapler

What you do:
1. Measure to see how big around your head is. This is how big you need to make your crown.

2. Measure and mark the length on your Bristol board.

3. Trace a crown shape on the Bristol board.

4. Paint the crown gold.

5. When the paint is dry, cut it out.

6. Decorate the gold side of your crown with plastic jewels, buttons or fabric paint.

7. When the crown is dry, bring the two ends of the crown together so the gold side is facing out. Put two staples to hold the ends together.

8. Wear your hat with pride!

Hey everyone! Ella McWoof here with a brand new friend – the Golden Deluxe Dragon!

EM: Welcome, my golden guest!
GLD: Thanks for having me, Ella! It’s a real treat to be here!
EM: So, April is kind of a big month for you, right?
GLD: Right on, Ella! April is THE biggest month for me. In fact, it’s a big month for ALL Golden Deluxe Dragons. It’s crazy cool!
EM: Do you want to remind everyone WHY April is such a big month?

GLD: I’ve got to say – it’s the gold. I just love gold. Being gold, collecting gold…it’s just terrific.
EM: I think gold is pretty great.
GLD: Pretty great?! Pretty great? Ella, it’s the best EVER! Oh, I just LOVE gold!
EM: Well, that’s awesome. Thanks so much for joining us today, Golden Deluxe Dragon! It has been a pleasure getting to know you!
GLD: And you, Ella. In fact, you might say this interview has been good…as gold!

What you need:

Shoe box, yellow paint, light and dark yellow cardstock, white cardstock, craft glue, markers, scissors

What you do:

1.       Cut a slit in the center of the top of the box (big enough for coins and bills to go through).

2.       Paint the shoebox dark yellow. Let the paint dry.

3.       Cut out four dark yellow legs, two black eyes, a dark yellow head, a light yellow oval (for the tummy) two dark yellow wings and a dark yellow tail.

4.       Glue eyes on the head and glue the head to the front of the box. Glue the tummy underneath it (you can make lines on the tummy with a marker before you glue it on).

5.       Glue the legs and wings onto the dragon.

6.       Glue on the tail.

7.       When the whole thing is dry, add some coins!

What you need: paper towel tube, gold paint and paintbrush or gold ribbon, jewels, beads, buttons, craft glue

What you do:

1.       Cut 3-inches from the top of your paper towel tube.

2.       Cut a slit in the round of cardboard.

3.       Paint the round gold OR wrap it in gold ribbon.

4.       When the paint or glue holding the ribbon is dry, add small glass stones, beads, or buttons to decorate.

5.       Leave the bracelet to dry.

6.       When it’s all ready, try it on!
