A new, 8 step challenge starts on June 1, and will run until midnight, August 31, on the Webkinz Classic Desktop App! Explore the Adventure Park as you complete quests, uncover prizes, and earn special Adventure Scout hats along the way. And don’t forget to check in with Scout Leader Sophie Stockwell at the Clubhouse every day to collect packs of Adventure Trail Mix that will fuel your little scouts on their summer adventure!

Here’s how to play: On June 1, look for the first Adventure Scouts Summer Challenge icon on the Webkinz Classic Desktop App. It will be displayed along the left side of your screen:

You can click on the icon to review your tasks. Here’s a look at the first three tasks you’ll need to complete the first step of your summer challenge:

• Feed your pet 2 packs of Adventure Trail Mix
• Spin the Wheel of WOW 2 times
• Buy an Adventure Scout Top at the KinzStyle Outlet

The amount of Adventure Trail Mix you’ll need to feed your pet will increase with each step of this challenge. So, be sure to collect some every day to complete your challenge faster.

There’s only one way to collect packs of Adventure Trail Mix this summer: Scout Leader Sophie Stockwell will be handing them out in the Adventure Scouts room at the Clubhouse! Visit Sophie every day at the Clubhouse, and click on her to collect Adventure Trail Mix:

The Adventure Scout Top, Shorts, Hat and Shoes are currently available to buy at the KinzStyle Outlet:

You’ll need to buy the Adventure Scout Top to complete the first step of the summer challenge. The top can be found on the first page of the TOPS section of the KinzStyle Outlet:

Once you complete the first step of the Adventure Scouts Summer Challenge, you’ll earn your first Adventure Pack and the Adventure Level 1 Hat! When you drag your Adventure Pack into your room, you’ll unlock a quest at the Adventure Park!

Every time you manage to complete a new step of the challenge, you’ll earn a new hat and a new Adventure Pack, until you unlock the Adventure Bravery Plaque by completing the final step of the challenge!

Remember, drag an Adventure Pack into your room to unlock your quest at the Adventure Park. You’ll need to complete the quest in order to advance to the next step of the summer challenge.

When you unlock your quest, head to the Adventure Park to start it! But first, you’ll need to talk to one of the Kinz to learn about your new quest.

When you complete the first step of your challenge, you’ll be awarded the Sparky’s Scavenger Hunt Adventure Pack. Drag it into your room to unlock your quest, then head to the Adventure Park to talk to Sparky! You’ll find him standing by the caves, near the top corner of the Adventure Park:

When you click on Sparky, you’ll learn about your quest and see what you’ll win when you complete it. You’ll need to add the grand prize for completing the quest into your room, to advance to the next step of the summer challenge.

Dear Diary,

You’ll never believe what happened today! My sister Plumpy chose me as a bridesmaid! I’m still in shock! Not only do I get to wear a GORGEOUS dress, but I also get to stand next to Plumpy when she gets married!

The other bridesmaids are Ruby (our cousin) and Tabby (Plumpy’s really good friend). Plumpy’s best friend is Wiggles, and she wanted a super-special job for him. So he’s her POH (Pig Of Honor).

I’m actually getting a little bit excited about the wedding! What color of dress will I get? What kind of flowers will I hold? Eek! I can’t wait to find out!

Dear Diary,

Do you believe in bad luck? I don’t think I do – but my friend Sparky does. He says he’s been having the worst luck ever. He broke his skateboard, skinned his paws, lost his handheld game, and flunked a test.

OK, so that sounds pretty bad.

But is it because of bad luck? I don’t know. His skateboard needed fixing and he kept putting it off. He’s always misplacing things…and he didn’t study for the test, so what did he think would happen?

Anyway, he was really bummed at today’s ‘Kinz meeting…so much so that after he left, my friends and I discussed a way to make him feel better. Now, it does involve a little bit of trickery…but sometimes that’s OK, right?

Stoogles decided that he’d tell Sparky that he’s giving him a lucky rock. The rock isn’t lucky at all, of course. It’s just a nice, shiny gray rock that Stoogles found one day. But as Roberta said, “if Sparky BELIEVES it’s lucky, maybe he’ll start to FEEL luckier…and less sad.”
And she’s got a good point.

So we’re going to give him the rock…and maybe set up a few ‘lucky’ things so Sparky’s mood improves.

It can’t hurt, right?

Hey everyone, Sparky here. Have you ever had the WORST luck of your life? Like, everything seems to be going wrong?

That’s what’s happening to me lately. Well, yesterday and today anyway. Yesterday, I was visiting my buddy Stoogles. I was skateboarding home from his place when I hit a rock on the road. Not only did I totally wipe out and skin my paws, I also managed to break my skateboard! The wheel fell off and it got all scraped up. My dad said it looks like the metal part is too bent to put the wheel back on. So that’s just great.

Then today, I went to school (late, because I slept through my alarm) and then realized I forgot to study for my geography test. Needless to say, I ended up with a big fat F.

I went home with a note from my teacher (my parents have to sign it. Wonderful.) and went right to my room. I was planning on playing with my handheld video game for awhile – until I realized: it’s missing!

Can you even believe it? When Alex called to see if I wanted to come over and study for tomorrow’s spelling test, I told him that under normal circumstances I would – but since I’m having a horrible run of bad luck, it would probably be better if I stayed home.

At which point, my mom said that we were having liver and onions for dinner.

Could this day get any worse?

This afternoon, we had our Valentine’s Day dance. It was actually a lot of fun! The ‘Kinz and I all just went as friends, no couples or anything. We ate SO many goodies (Nibbles felt pretty sick by the end of things) and danced a LOT! Ms. Cowoline made sure that most of the music was fast, but when one slow song came on, the ‘Kinz decided to dance to it –as a joke, of course. Salley and Stoogles did some kind of waltz, Roberta did  a tap dance with Cowoline, Sparky and Nibbles just jumped up and down like maniacs – and then Alex asked me to dance.

So we did.

I think it would’ve been considered some kind of line dance.

Anyway, it was a great time!

I’m so glad I went, and so glad that Alex and I are still going to be friends.  Tonight, I’m going to visit Salley for a girls’ night in – movies, popcorn, goodies – the works!

It’s Salley Cat. We just had the most awesome afternoon at school. We went for a field trip out to the farm where Sparky’s Uncle Arte took us for a hay ride. It was a perfect day. The sun was shining and it wasn’t too cold. We all piled onto the back of this big wooden wagon made of planks. We sat on the benches along the side of the wagon and Arte gave us these warm, fleecy plaid blankets to cover our legs with. Then he climbed onto the tractor in front and we were off!

We went along this winding path along the side of a huge pumpkin patch. I didn’t know there were so many different types of pumpkins. There are these white pumpkins and these weird warty pumpkins with funny bumps all over them.

The hay cart shuddered and shook the whole time. I was kind of scared it was going to fall apart but Ms. Cowoline said it was designed to absorb all the bumps in the pathway.

We followed this dirt path all the way along the side of the pumpkin patch until we reached a large field of corn and Ms. Cowoline told us all to get out. Then she showed us the entrance to a gigantic corn maze! We all dashed into the maze. It was crazy – the corn was so high we couldn’t see each other through the stalks but I could hear Roberta and Cowabelle giggling so I knew they were close by. We were all running around, laughing, when suddenly I went around a corner and crashed right into Sparky! It was okay though because we weren’t going THAT fast and we fell against a wall of soft corn stalks so we didn’t get hurt. But then Stoogles came tearing around the corner and almost ran us over! After that we decided to team up and help each other find the way out. We started leaving little markers – a couple of leaves set in an X pattern to let us know where we’d been so we didn’t retrace our steps. As we went on, we gathered more and more friends in our group until finally we saw the sunlight shining more brightly through one crack in the stalks and we knew it must be the end of the maze.

Ms. Cowoline was waiting for us with a big smile on her face. She said she was so proud of the way we cooperated with each other and used the markers to help find our way out. She told us it was time to go home so we all climbed back onto the hay cart and headed back.

We were filthy and covered in leaves when we got home but it sure was an epic day!

Hi there! My Uncle Arte said I could invite some friends over to his friend’s farm today and we could carve pumpkins for Halloween! This is so cool because they have a really neat pumpkin patch so we could each choose our own.

When everyone got here we were all searching around in the pumpkin patch for the biggest pumpkins. I think we found the best ones! Then we all planned out how we wanted to decorate our jack-o-lanterns. I wanted a super scary face – with giant fangs and really angry eyes. Molly said that she was going to do a cute one because she didn’t want to scare Millie when she brought it home. Cute? What is the point of that? Halloween is all about being scared! The scarier, the better if you ask me. Sally said she was going to do a funny one. She saved one of the pieces that she cut out for the eyes and put it in her pumpkin’s mouth so it looked like its tongue was sticking out! Isn’t that a cool idea (I kind of wish I had thought of it!)

Okay – Nibbles’ jack-o-lantern was WILD. She brought a bottle of ketchup and made a really scary face and then spread ketchup all over it so that it looked like blood! It was SOOOO gross!!! (But it looked really cool!)

I wonder what was wrong with Alex though. He seemed to be hanging back a bit and when he saw Nibbles’ jack-o-lantern he looked really freaked out. I hope he was okay. Other than that though, it was an epic day!

Sparky here, dudes! We had an epic afternoon at school! We got to spend the whole afternoon outdoors.

Ms. Cowoline gave us a challenge. We had to go out and find as many different types of leaves in as many different colors as we could. When we came back we would have a competition to see who found the widest variety of leaves, who found the biggest leaf, who found the brightest red, etc., etc. – you get the idea, right?

So I went exploring in Kinzville Park. I was determined the win with the biggest leaf. I searched and searched and searched. There was one leaf that was bigger than my hand. That WAS pretty big, but not big enough.  Then I found one as big as my foot!  Big – but I was sure I could do better.

Just as I heard Ms. Cowoline blow her whistle letting us know it was time to line up back at the school, I saw the most gigantic golden maple leaf I had ever seen, hanging from a high branch. I had to have it. I jumped up trying to reach it, but it was just too high. Then I tried shaking the tree trunk. I saw the leaf wiggle and sway, but it just hung there, taunting me. I could hear Ms. Cowoline’s whistle blow again and I knew I might get in trouble if I didn’t get back. I picked up some small rocks and began tossing them at the branch the leaf was hanging from, but I kept missing.

I knew Ms. Cowoline would be looking for me so I started to head back. Just as I walked under the tree, I felt something brush my head lightly. I looked down, and lying on the ground was my leaf!!!

I grabbed it and ran back to the KVA as fast as I could and guess what? I won! I won for biggest leaf!!! Ms. Cowoline gave me a copy of the Colorful Characters Coloring Book as a prize! And she stuck my leaf up on the wall of the classroom and wrote my name next to it so everyone would know I found it!
