I’ve had braces for about a year, Heatherstem, and soft pretzels are a yes! It’s the really sticky, gummy, gooey stuff you wanna watch out for ’cause it could pull a bracket off. Things like popcorn (which I eat anyway) can be bad if the little kernels get stuck in the wires. Other than that, just brush a lot, use mouthwash, and if it kills really bad, take an Advil or something. :D
