Since we started the new series of Kinzville Challenges in April, I have seen some great outdoor designs using our various buildings. However, Tulaash has found a clever way to use these buildings in their room design. Using the storefronts to set up an interior mall scene is brilliant! The buildings they chose are perfect as well: A pizza joint, a chocolate shop, clothing store, antique shop and, of course, a movie theater! The wood exterior of the theatre gives it a retro feel, as if the mall was built in the 80s, the height of mall madness! Love the food court and mall directory too. This room is perfect. Great job Tulaash!

“Wow! This was a tough choice but in the end, Trampoline Park by Tcitrowske was the one that had me jumping for joy! What an energetic, vibrant room! Of course, fields of trampolines were appealing enough, but there were so many fantastic additions that added to the fun atmosphere. The ball pit, climbing structure, and basketball hoop are the perfect complements to a trampoline park! Of course all that bouncing will make a pet hungry, so you can find a cute concession stand right between the kiosk where you buy your ticket and the lockers where you can store your shoes and coat. And it’s all tied together beautifully by the colorful wallpaper and flooring. Can I have my next birthday party here???”

It’s time for another round of the Room Design Awards!

Each of the following finalists have had a room design featured in one of my posts since the last Room Design Awards were held in March. I have also tried to pick players who have never won a Room Design Trophy in the past.

Please take the time to review their designs carefully, because on Friday, July 17, you’ll be able to vote for your five favorites, which will help us to determine who will win a Room Design Trophy:

Only fifteen finalists will earn a Room Design Trophy. Ten winners will be decided by a vote on Webkinz Newz. From Friday, July 17, to Sunday, July 19 (ending midnight, EST), vote for your top five favorite designs. The ten designers who receive the most votes will be awarded a Room Design Trophy.

The final five winners will be chosen by the Webkinz Newz team. Sally, Mandy, Steve, Dorothy Lou and I will each choose our favorite room design and the designers will be awarded a Room Design Trophy.

There is a Classic and Next version of the Room Design Trophy, so if a winning design was created on Webkinz Next, the designer will be sent the Next version of the trophy.

Results will be announced on Monday, July 20. If you are chosen as a winner, please check your inbox for an email that will explain how to get your trophy.

There are many things I love about this room, especially the retaining wall acting as a barrier between the ocean front property and the main street of this seaside community. It makes the street appear as if it’s raised up, overlooking the property, which was an illusion that I’m sure was intended and perfectly executed. Love the details here as well: The placement of beach toys, palms and the pathway leading to the front door of the beach house. The choice of buildings is brilliant as well. The theater, diner and spa, truly make it seem like the perfect place to vacation in the summer. Great job, tcitrowske! Keep sending me your rooms. I can’t wait to see more of your design ideas!

“There was something about the combination of colors in this room that just brought to mind a blend of tangy sorbets! The bright yellows, purples, and pinks combined with adorable food-themed furniture items like donut and chocolate chip sofas, cupcake chairs and clock, and the marshmallow trampoline, are the perfect background for sweet treats! Lemonsun has a great collection of presentable food items as well as baking accessories, and the wallpaper that reminds me of sprinkles is the icing on the cake (pardon the pun!) Great work!”
