Did you know you can trade with other players in Webkinz Next?
 
 
Just like in Webkinz Classic, trading is a fun way to swap extra items, discover something new, or help a friend complete their collection. But in Next, you can do it on the go — right in the middle of Kinzville!
 
 
To begin, click on the binder beside your pet. Drag the items you’d like to trade into the binder.
 
 

There are 36 slots for items. You can change the items in your binder at any time, including while trading.
 
 
You can trade most clothing, furniture, decorations, and other collectible items.
 
 
Some items, like gifts, currencies, materials, pet effects, and competition crops, can’t be traded.
 
 
To begin a trade, click on another player, and tap Trade. This will send the player an invitation to trade. If they agree, you will both enter trading mode. Here you can look at each other’s binders, chat about the items you’re looking for, and make a deal.
 
 

Once both players are satisfied, click Make Trade, then Complete Trade to finalize it. Just remember: once you hit complete, your trade is final.
 
 
All trades in Webkinz Next are one item for one item and the trade must be fair.
 
 
We have color-coded the items according to their value categories. There are 12 Value categories:

You can turn off trading or pause requests from your options menu.

A new feature in Webkinz Next allows users to search and organize their dock.
 
 

To begin, click the three dots in the corner of your dock. Select the Magnifying Glass to open a search bar.
 
 

Type the name of an item, category or theme and the dock will aggregate options. You can also use the feature to sort your dock.
 
 

Use the AZ button to sort your items alphabetically.
 
 

Use the ZA button to sort your items in reverse-alphabetical order.

Use the bar graph button to sort items by quantity.
 
 

Use the clock button to search newest-to-oldest.
 
 
To hide your dock, click the arrow button on the bottom-left.

In Webkinz Next, we’ve added the ability for players to create Avatar Icons for their accounts.

Avatar Icons

Your avatar icon will appear beside your World Name in all your friends’ Friend Lists, in your player details, and other future projects. It’s a great way to make your account stand out and show your own personality.

Avatar Icons are made of three parts: a background, an icon, and a frame. We’ve included several options for you to use right away and you’ll be able to collect more in challenges, events and through our new Seasons.

Here’s how it works:

1. Go to your Friend Center by tapping here -

2. Tap Edit beside your Avatar icons

3. You’ll bring up this interface. The tabs across the top are background, icons, and frames. Tapping the tabs will switch between the options you have.

4. Tap any option to try it out in your icon.

5. When you’re happy with your Avatar, tap Confirm. The interface will close and your new avatar will not be available for all of your friends to see the next time they log in.

Voice Control is one of the newest features in Webkinz Next and it can be used for three things.

1. Ask a Question
2. Navigate through Kinzville
3. Voice-to-Text Chat

1. Ask A Question

You can use Voice Control to instantly access the Help Center.

First, click the Microphone Button at the side of your screen.

Then, ask a question such as, “What Can I Do in the Café??”

The Help Screen will appear with an answer.

An additional Microphone Button on the help screen can also be used to ask questions.

2. Navigate through Kinzville

You can also use Voice Control to move through the game.

Click the Microphone Button and use the command “GO TO” plus a location.

For example, “GO TO, Kinzville,” will move your pet to Kinzville.

3. Voice-to-Text Chat

Voice-to-Text Chat can be initiated in two ways.

Either click the microphone button and use the command “SAY” plus a phrase. The phrase will appear in your Type Chat field.

For example, “SAY, hello,” will add the word “hello” to your Type Chat field.

Or, initiate Voice-to-Text Chat via the Microphone button that is next to your chat field.

When using the button attached to your chat field, you do not need the command “SAY.” Simply click the button and speak a phrase.

Trading is now live in Webkinz Next!

Players can now trade extra prizes and duplicate items with any other user anywhere in Kinzville other than the arcade. You can even trade with your friend in your own home!

To begin, click on the binder beside your pet. Drag the items you’d like to trade into the binder.

Other players can look through your items either during a trade or through the Friends’ List.

Note that at this time Gifts, Currencies, Pet Effects, Materials and Competition Crops cannot be traded.

Both players must agree to any trade. You can use Chat and Emojis to work out the deal that you’re happy with. When the trade is air, tap Make Trade and a confirmation screen will appear. Both players must then press Complete Trade to have the trade go through. Remember that once a trade has gone through, it can’t be reversed.

For those players uninterested in trading, we’ve added the ability to turn off trading in the Options panel. Simply uncheck “Allow Trading” and the binder will be removed from your UI and players won’t be able to send you trade requests. You can turn on and off this feature at any time.

Like trading but just busy? You can put a pause on receiving trade requests by checking “Pause Trading” on the request reply. You then won’t receive any more requests until the next time you log in.

Things are on the move in Webkinz Next! Introducing a brand new feature that allows players to send selected items from their Webkinz Next account to their Webkinz Classic account – including the fabulous Glampire theme!

How does it work?

In order to use this feature, you must have Classic and Next accounts with the same login info. Don’t have a Next account? Just log in with your Classic username and password to create one! And if you don’t have a Classic account, you can create one using your Next username and password!

To send items back to Classic, look for the moving van at the bottom of your Dock when you’re logged into Next, and click on it. Now you can select which items you want to send.

Not all items are available to be sent back to Classic, so we’ve included a handy checkbox that isolates the items you can currently send. Certain items even offer the option to buy a duplicate before sending them off.

Now hit ‘Send’ and that’s it! The next time you log into Classic, you’ll see a message in the Message Center letting you know your item has been added to your Dock.
