What you need:

• 8 oz Hot Sauce
• 12 oz Cream Cheese
• 8 oz Ranch Dressing
• 20 oz Canned chicken in water (Drain the water from the can) Have an adult assist with opening the can.
• 2 – 3 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
• Choice of chips

What you do:

1.       Mix all the ingredients together in an oven safe bowl.

2.       Have an adult turn on the oven to 350 degrees.

3.       Bake until completely melted.

4.       Enjoy with your favorite chips!

Today I have the pleasure of talking to one of the youngest adventurers in Webkinz World – none other than Dogbeard’s younger sister, Laurabeard!

LB: Glad to be here!

EM: So, Laura – maybe the first thing you can tell us is how you got the coveted ‘beard’ ending on your name?

LB: That happened when I went on an adventure with my brother, Dogbeard. We were in a terrible storm – but Doggie B was too angry at his crew to be the captain (he was kind of mad at me, too). Anyway, I took control of the ship and made sure that everyone was safe. It was awesome and Dogbeard had no choice but to make me an honorary pirate – so I got the ‘beard’ ending on my name.

EM: Do you want to be a pirate full-time when you grow up?

LB: Nah – that’s Doggie-B’s thing. I’m really interested in maps, though. So maybe a cartographer? Who knows? I’ve got lots of time to figure it out.

EM: Do you hope to go on another voyage with Dogbeard at some point?

LB: Oh, sure! If he’ll take me – which I’m not sure he would. Dogbeard likes being in charge – he doesn’t like sharing the spotlight with his little sister.

EM: Dogbeard is quite a bit older than you – what’s it like having a MUCH older sibling?

LB: It’s fine – I didn’t really see Dogbeard too much as I was growing up. He was already hanging out with this crew and building himself a pirate ship.

EM: If you could go anywhere in the world, on any kind of wild adventure – where would you go and why?

LB: I’d go to this little island I found on a map in a book – I have no idea how long it would take to sail there (maybe, like, a year?). I figure I’ll go there with Nibbles (my BFF) when we’re done school. Maybe it’s the fabled Treasure Trove Island I’ve heard so much about!

EM: One can only hope! Best of luck, Laurabeard!

EM: Doug, I’m so glad you were able to join us today!
DD: Me too, Ella! It’s not often that I get an interview request.
EM: I’m surprised! You’re one of Webkinz World’s best adventurers!
DD: That’s very kind of you to say, Ella. Thank you.
EM: No, I mean it. I read your latest book of adventures, “The Places I’ve Been” – it was quite good.
DD: Why, thank you! That means a lot to me.
EM: What’s your favorite adventure, Doug?
DD: Oh, there are so many! To choose just one would be too difficult. My most memorable adventure, however, was definitely the one I took many years ago. I went on a long hike through the Magical Forest. I managed to find a very interesting looking rock – I actually thought I’d discovered something new! I was SO excited. I put the rock safely in my backpack and camped out for the night. Around midnight, I heard a weird noise outside of my tent. I’m not sure what it was, but in the morning, my backpack had a huge slice in it. And my rock was GONE. I think someone knew I had it – and they wanted it back. I can’t say for sure who that individual was, but I have my suspicions.
EM: And you’ve never found a rock like it again?
DD: Never.

EM: Wow. So, Doug, what are you up to these days? Still visiting all corners of Webkinz World?
DD: Always! I’ll never stop adventuring! Unlike some dogs I know, I don’t feel the need to retire and work at a shop.
EM: Ah, you’re referring to Arte?
DD: Who else? Arte – my former best friend.
EM: Do you think you two will ever be pals again?
DD: I really don’t think so. Too much time has passed – we just don’t see eye-to-eye at all. He’s not the same dog he was when we were puppies.
EM: Do you ever miss going on adventures with Arte?
DD: I- I have to go. Thanks for the interview, Ella.

EM: I think I’ll take that as a ‘yes’.

Have you ever met a king? Well, I did! In fact, I met the king – the Fish King, that is. The Fish King is really, really old. His mind isn’t as quick as it used to be, but he’s a really nice guy. Everyone in the entire underwater realm knows him – including Sera, the mermaid. While he and Sera don’t always get along, I think he’s really great – and he knows SO much about life underwater!

What you need:

-          1 cup of flour

-          2 teaspoons baking powder

-          1 cup of grated cheddar cheese

-          1 egg

-          ¾ cup milk

What you do:

1. Preheat oven to 350°.

2. Mix flour and baking powder.

3. Add cheddar cheese.

4. Combine milk and egg in a bowl, then add to mixture.

5. Spoon mixture into muffin tins and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.

Hey, gang, it’s the Rooster here with more exclusive behind the scenes details about the making of the cool new video, “It’s a Beautiful Day.” Today I thought I’d tell you about how we dressed the set for the video. I always love checking out the eStore for cool items to decorate the space, so when I was planning the video shoot, I knew exactly where to go to find props.

I really wanted to enhance the country feel of our farmhouse, so the first thing I looked for when I hit the eStore was a large window with an attractive country view. As soon as I saw the Barnyard Window I knew my hunt was over. It had exactly the rustic feel I was going for and it was spacious enough to frame the other barnyard animals that I had asked to appear as extras in our video. The green curtains accented with a pink swag captured the farmhouse essence perfectly, and the blue flowers in the background added a nice natural touch.

Baby chick’s bed was the main prop on this video shoot so when I got to the eStore I was on the lookout for something that just screamed country. Of course, it also had to have a plush, luxurious look to it – after all, it had to look so comfortable that the baby chick would rather keep on dreaming than wake up and face the day. I spotted this quaint wooden bed with its charming blue and white checked coverlet almost the second I walked into the eStore. The Country House Bed had just the feel I was trying to capture.

It was my wife’s idea to use a pie as a prop to try and lure our baby chick out of his deep slumber. I thought that was a great idea and the Whole Country Piggy Plum Pie is so mouth-watering, it’s a mystery how anyone could resist. It seemed the perfect prop to tempt our little snoozer!

And while I was there I also picked up a Farmer’s Wife Dress, in case we decided on a last minute costume change
