In honor of Webkinz’s Ten Year Anniversary, we’re holding a Design a Webkinz Contest!
To enter, choose from 1 of 4 pet templates (a horse, a cat, a bear or a dragon), design your pet and upload it to the ShareCenter! This contest will run from February 1-16th (ends at noon EST). The top 10 finalists will be revealed on Tuesday, February 17th and the winner announced on Saturday, February 21st.
We will especially be looking for pet designs that celebrate your love for Webkinz or are inspired by our 10 Year Anniversary!
The winner will receive:
- A virtual version of their winning pet
- A 1-Year Deluxe Membership
- All 10 Webkinz Day trophies (2006-2015)
A few things to remember…
- You can enter as many designs as you want!
- Contestants MUST upload their work to the Design A Webkinz Gallery on the GanzWorld Share Center. Never uploaded to the ShareCenter before? Don’t worry! It’s easy. Just watch this video to see how it’s done!
- You can use any kind of art supplies that you want — except computer software (yes, this is a change from the Design a Dog Contest last year). Want to use markers, pencil crayons, crayons, or other art materials? Go for it!
- You don’t NEED to include ideas for this pet’s adoption gifts (PSI & PSF), but feel free to draw them if you want.
- We can’t accept submissions with company logos or sports team emblems.
- Please make sure you save your images as a jpg, gif, or png.

I need help! I submitted 5 today but then I remembered the contest doesn’t start until February 1st! Will I have to re-upload the images for them to be submitted into the contest?? Please reply!

I’m really disappointed we can’t do it digitally. Is there a reason why?
To ensure that the contest has a level playing field for everyone to participate and enjoy.
I understand this Gennelle, but I don’t know that it actually fixes the problem. 5 year old kids designs still most likely won’t be as good as the college art students.
You’re forgetting that regardless of how good the piece looks, we will be redoing the art anyway. That means we don’t pick the winner based on accuracy or skill, but on imagination and creativity. Our artists are more than capable of redoing it in the proper art style. ;)
Yeah, I have a great idea but I’m not that great at drawing it. So it’s great that it doesnt matter if your a pro artist, its the imagination that counts.
I guess that is true. I did not know they were judging differently this year!

This sounds very cool, but I wish you could do any pet you wanted to do. :\ I still might enter though, probably won’t win either way. XD It still sounds cool!

It doesn’t start until Feb. 1 so you’ll have to re-submit to the correct Gallery on the ShareCenter. Come back on Feb. 1 for all the details on how to do that.

The templates will be available for upload on Feb. 1.
