Crafty Critterz is back! We’ll be posting recipes, crafts, game ideas and more. Check out this craft from our archive.
What you need:
- Two pipe cleaners (sparkly silver and gold ones work well)
- Beads (with holes large enough for the pipe cleaners to fit through)
- A Webkinz
What you do:
- Make a loop with the pipe cleaner. Make the loop large enough to fit snugly on your Webkinz’ head. This is the base of the crown.
- Attach one end of another pipe cleaner to the base. Add a bead to this pipe cleaner.
- Bend the second pipe cleaner up and down so it looks like a zigzag. Add beads to the zigzag.
- Attach the other end of the pipe cleaner to the loop to anchor it.
- Fit the crown onto your Webkinz’ head. Admire your handiwork!
Try to use sequins, sparkles, and stickers on your crown to make them extra special!

I wish we could add you as a friend in our ‘Webkinz Phone Contacts’ as well you can give the player who send you letter and things something specail in reply– maybe a vertual version of one of your crafts so that not only our plushies have something cool to wear. (A tasty treat, home decor, ect.)

Cute! The craft and koala! I’ll have to make this. It says it’s “back,” but it’s new to me because I haven’t been on WKN for long! (just a few months) This’ll be cool.
They’ll have crafts like this frequently including recipes, diy clothing, and real-life replicas of items from Webkinz world.
You can also suggest crafts to them.
cool! also I know you don’t take suggestions for the webkinz plushs but I want a midnight galaxy wolf plush it could be a dark blue wolf with stars and other galaxy stuff heres a idea for the description if you make the plush: this space wolf loves to look at the galaxy with there lunar telescope and eat there favorite food night cream.
Wow, I haven’t seen a Crafty Critterz post for a really long time! I don’t *think* they’ve posted any of these since I’ve joined WKN, though I one time saw a few of them while I was browsing some of the much earlier webkinz newz pages. It’s great to see it again, this crown craft looks really cool! ;)

Awesome! And what timing! Just yesterday I looked at the old Crafty Critters column & thought, this has been neglected for years, maybe I should send something in. How cool that you’re starting this feature up again. And that crafty crown is still super cute & easy to make!
Haven’t seen Crafty Kimmi Koala in YEARS! I’ll bet many don’t even know who she is.
Who?? Is she a former WW resident or host? I like the idea of featuring WW creativity that isn’t just for those who are blessed with the drawing gene. This should be very interesting and enlightening!
I forget exactly when Kimmi Koala appeared, but she was a character in one of the Wtales books and ran the craft activities at Kinzcamp. Way back in the first years of Webkinz World and before the current Webkinz Newz, the newspaper front page was the place to learn of new activities, contests, stories, and Plumpy’s advice column. Kimmi Koala hosted Crafty Corner where the folks at Webkinz designed simple homemade crafts or we could submit our own simple craft ideas for our pets. From time to time a trophy would be awarded to a lucky person – those trophies must to very rare and quite valuable and treasured because Kimmi just disappeared several years ago.. I always thought she and Debbie Dragon went on permanent vacation or something – but DD is another story. ;-)
Found some more info – the old activity section was Crafty Critterz, not Crafty Corner. Kimmi’s overalls and workstation and poster were prizes that could be won in the old Series 4 trading cards. Maybe those prizes will be resurrected in the near future because I’ve noticed a lot of the old trading card stuff is showing up as Wheel prizes and the kinzpost gifts from the hosts.
Thank you so much for all of the info ~Alphaowlbear! I started playing Webkinz a few years ago, and I had never heard of Kimmi Koala. Now I’m curious about Debbie Dragon. Who was she? I like the opportunity to have the newer players experience some of the things that the long-time fans got to enjoy.
Hi Beckinz, Debbie Dragon ran the Travel Agency back when all players could access Vacation Island. We used to have to pay kinzcash to send our pets there & she was the travel agent. They retired her when the Island was given over to Deluxe only. She was a really popular character, I liked her a lot & players have been asking for her return since she left. I’ve always hoped they’d find a way to re-include her in the game.
Wasn’t there a trophy for this at once? Is it back?
