Hello Webkinz Newz readers, Ella McWoof here with a special report! Earlier this month you voted for the Hotel room theme to be the next theme released in the W-Shop. Our artists here at Webkinz headquarters have been hard at work and I am pleased to show you the first set of concept drawings! The 3D artists will use these drawings as a guide when actually creating the final items that will be available in the W-Shop on July 21st.
You may have seen this first concept drawing already. It was the only image that players could use to decide whether or not they wanted to vote for the Hotel theme. The vote actually took place right here on Webkinz Newz from June 6 – 8:
Now here is a beautiful sofa that looks like it would belong in a hotel lobby. Notice that it’s shaped like a semi circle so when you place two of them back to back you can create an elegant round sofa:
Here is a room service meal cart that many players suggested they would like to see included with this theme. This cart actually works as a fridge so you’ll be able to store you favorite foods here:
Finally, here’s a look at the bed that will be included with this theme. Did you noticed the two mints that are resting by the pillows?:
Remember, this theme will be available for KinzCash in the W-Shop July 21st. In the meantime, please feel free to leave your feedback and name suggestions for these items in the comments section below.

Hahaha! Well, the players who have wanted the Hotel Theme for so long are happy! The concept pieces are wonderful. I am seeing the kind of high quality and attention to detail that we have come to expect from our incredibly talented design team. I’m getting room design ideas already! I am however hoping that I will get another chance to vote for the Fun to be Young theme. I would really like to see what other pieces the art department had in mind for the rest of the theme pieces.

I don’t really like the couch. It has no color and it really doesn’t pop if you know what I mean.it also looks weird. In a hotel I have never seen a semi circle or circular couch. In my opinion it is just an awful piece of furniture. I really hope you add color or change the shape.
I am really happy that this room theme won but I hope to see more color.

It looks as though this is going to be a 2 room theme!!…Lobby and hotel Suite!! I think it’s wonderful.
Wow! I’m loving the theme! The circular couch pieces are wonderful, & I love the turquoise color, it’s my favorite! Most of all, thank you so much for fulfilling my request for Room Service! My pets are so excited, they’re already packed & ready for their first get-away on July 21st!

I am glad for that as well. I am even more excited that it is a storage device as well! You could actually put in food choices that your pet might order. I did that with the lunch box fridges. I put in lunch items like an apple, a carrot, a sandwich, a drink, a treat and a bag of nachos.
I do that too, magamom12. Each room that has a fridge in it has food choices themed to the fridge or (usually) the room. It adds another level of detail & realism that I enjoy. What will your pets order first from Room Service? I’m thinking pet favorites.
I love the items so far! If you need name suggestions… Chair: Bejeweled Lobby Chair, Sofa: Circular Sofa, Cart: Elegant Room Service, and Bed: Snazzy Stripes Bed :)

LOVE them all, I’d also love to see a reception/check-in desk please!! It would come in so handy in designing many different rooms!!

That is a wonderful idea HJP1986! It would be incredibly cool if the desk bell actually “dinged” when we clicked on it :)

These so wonderful! I’m very glad this theme won! I have a few name suggestions for these cute items! For the chair, Elegant Lobby Chair, Striped Hotel Chair, and Soft Striped Seat. For the sofa, Soft Circular Sofa, Silky Soft Sofa, Hotel Pride Sofa, and Elegant Lobby Sofa. For the cart, Sensible Service Cart, and Breakfast in Bed Cart. For the bed, Soft Stripes Bed, and Comfy Hotel Bed. Can’t wait to see the next batch of concept drawings! :)
