how do i find my lakeside cottage? I only see my starter home.

Have you started the Home Away from Home challenge? It’s awarded towards the end of that challenge chain. If you have, then when you click the Properties button at the top of you screen (next to the house map), you’ll see all of the properties you own.

I believe I see it but can’t collect it.
You have to use edit to pick it up and put it back in your dock :)
