Week 2
- Feed your pet a Hot Dog 20 times
- Complete a pet request with a kid pet
- Buy a Fruit Tart from the Farmer’s Market on 4 different days
- Get 2000+ on Home Before Dark 3 times
- Earn 200 KinzCash playing Hoppy Little Rocketship or Glide Heart
- Get an A on any hard class at the Kinzville Academy
- Purchase a piece of Yard Decor from the W Shop
- Win a poster by completing Sparky’s Challenge
- Time for a swim! Use a swimming pool.
- Use a pet effect on 4 different days
Feed your pet a Hot Dog 20 times
You can find Hot Dogs in the W Shop under the Food category. You don’t have to feed them all to the same pet or on the same day to complete the task. Are you ready for the BBQ event??
Complete a pet request with a kid pet
Select one of your kid pet’s to be the active pet and wait for one of its pet requests. It does not have to be a growth request to count.
Buy a Fruit Tart from the Farmer’s Market on 4 different days
Head to the Farmer’s Market on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, from 6am to 11pm KinzTime. Visit Will’s Pantry on four different days and pick up a tasty Fruit Tart.
Get 2000+ on Home Before Dark 3 times
Head to the Arcade, tap on an Arcade unit and choose Home Before Dark from the list. You’ll need to get to around level 6 to get this score. I like to spend more time on the earlier levels to get as many houses as possible, not just the minimum needed to complete the level. If you leave at least one for your last attempt, you can get a nice boost on your score by linking more houses than you need. Also, you’ll get more points for using up more of the path pieces, even if they don’t go anywhere.
Earn 200 KinzCash playing Hoppy Little Rocketship or Glide Heart
Head to the Arcade, tap on an Arcade unit and choose either Hoppy Little Rocketship or Glide Heart from the list. Play as many games of either to earn 200 KinzCash in total.
Get an A on any hard class at the Kinzville Academy
Head to the Kinzville Academy and go through the doors to start Classtime. Get an A on the last class to complete this task. It does not matter which class it is, as long as it is the hard level.
Purchase a piece of Yard Decor from the W Shop
Tap on the W Shop and then go to Decorations -> Yard Decor. Purchase something from this category to complete this task. If you don’t have a swimming pool, now is a great time to get one!
Win a poster by completing Sparky’s Challenge
Head to the Arcade and tap on Sparky by the door to get a challenge. Beat Spark’s score to win a cool Arcade themed poster! If you don’t beat the score, the request will eventually reset. If Sparky doesn’t have a question mark over his head when you enter the Arcade, you may need to log out and back in.
Time for a swim! Use a swimming pool.
Tap on any pool (not bath) and have your pet go for a swim. This has to be done on your own property. The Golden Retriever’s pool and the Pig’s muddy marsh both count as pools, along with the pool you can purchase at the W Shop and some grand prize pools from earlier Seasons.
Use a pet effect on 4 different days
Check your dock for some snacks! You get them for free just by logging in regularly, and some are included in holiday gift boxes. While they are available in the W Shop for Diamonds, you can also do this totally for free if you don’t have any by applying the “face paint” at the Farmer’s Market.

What happened to Home Before Dark? I openened it and saw that the picture with the labyrinth is suddenly much smaller, and in a very difficult perspective, so I thought it is a glitch and closed it again. Openend it again, and it was the same. My friend told me it was like this yesterday on his tablet (I played on desktop), so apparently it is nothing which is “fixed” by closing and opening the game again. It is so small, and I can hardly see the paths, so I am having problems playing it. Please change it back the way it used to be. The main (and big) advantage of the games on Next is that they are so much bigger, so I enjoy a lot more playing the games on Next as opposed to Classic (e.g. Jumbleberry Blast). And now Home Before Dark is like that, just no fun.
I just opened Home Before Dark and it’s still the full size. Do you have your window resized? Have you tried playing fullscreen?
this is interesting, because I thought it would be the same for everyone (since my friend said he had the same problem on the tablet, and could hardly turn the paths because it is so small now).. I will try again later. I had not changed the window size before I played. I will keep you informed.
I just tried again, and it is still like that. The square area with the paths is so much smaller than usual, there is a lot of green area at the bottom, the square area starts approximately at the height where the kinzcash is shown to the left. Other games seem to have stayed the same: I played Lilypads, Hoppy little rocket and Jumbleberry Blast since the update, it is just Home before dark which is so small now.
Did you have it full screen or windowed? Are you on a Mac or Windows machine?
I am on a windows desktop and windowed. When you said I should try full screen, I could not remember how to turn it back (I was so glad when I was finally to remove the full screen that I never thought of wanting it back to full screen, lol.
I’m on Windows machine too and don’t have this at all. When you’re windowed, do you have it stretched extra wide? If you have it closer to a 4:3 ratio, the paths will fill the center of the screen
I’m going to pick up a Fruit Tart today. Not having any luck with the Home Before Dark one, but did the Hoppy Little Rocket Ship one last night after work.
I can’t get into the Travel Agency this morning. I get a message saying there is an error entering the zone. I have tried on two different accounts, two different computers (Mac and Windows 11), two different ways (via map, via entering through the door). Is it me?
when ever I try to enter the vacation agency on webkinz next I get the message “there was an error entering the zone.” Is this happening to anyone else or how do I fix it?
Off topic, but does anyone know what storage container I can buy to store my paint cans I’ve collected?

Is anyone else unable to change their lawn on the mobile app? It freezes whenever i tap the option to change it. :(
