Week 2
- Harvest 10 crops from the Farmer’s Plot
- Have a meal outdoors. Buy a Picnic Table from the W Shop!
- Earn 150 KinzCash playing Hoppy Little Rocketship
- Get to level 6 in Home Before Dark
- Get your face painted at the Farmer’s Market 3 times
- Get an A in any hard class at the Kinzville Academy
- Get some summer sun! Dress your pet in a swimsuit or swim trunks
- Earn 50 Prize Tickets at the Arcade
- Take your baby on the swings 3 times
- Use the Fortune Teller at the Curio Shop on 4 different days
Harvest 10 crops from the Farmer’s Plot
Plant ground crops in your Farmer’s Plot and harvest from it at least 10 times. Sometimes you’ll harvest multiples from the same crop, but this task counts the number of times you harvest, not the amount of crops you receive. Are you maximizing your output? Make sure you fill your Farmer’s Plot with Advanced Editing turned off — this will ensure that your crops “snap to grid” and fill out all 21 spots.
Have a meal outdoors. Buy a Picnic Table from the W Shop!
You can find the Picnic Table in the W Shop under Decorations -> Yard Decor
Earn 150 KinzCash playing Hoppy Little Rocketship
Head to the Arcade, tap on any Arcade unit and choose Hoppy Little Rocketship from the list. This is a cumulative, KinzCash task, so you can take as many tries as you need to earn this amount of KinzCash. Try to keep your fuel tank filled so you can use a rocket boost when there’s nowhere to land. Use the score multiplier to increase your score more quickly.
Get to level 6 in Home Before Dark
Head to the Arcade, tap on any Arcade unit and choose Home Before Dark from the list. This can be a tricky one, but my best advice is to try to clear any obstacles as soon as they appear — use up as many tiles as you can. This isn’t about score, so make your connections as quickly as possible to finish each level.
Get your face painted at the Farmer’s Market 3 times
Look for the Farmer’s Market on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from 6am to 11pm KinzTime. Tap on the face painting station to get the butterfly effect applied to your pet. You’ll need to visit three times over the next four weeks to complete this task.
Get an A in any hard class at the Kinzville Academy
Head to the Kinzville Academy and through the doors to start Classtime. You can score whatever on the easy and medium class as long as you get an A on the hard one. You’ll have four weeks of classes to complete this task.
Get some summer sun! Dress your pet in a swimsuit or swim trunks
If you’ve been chasing the Sun around Kinzville, you should have some brand new swimsuits! Old ones will also work for this task if you haven’t managed to find the Sun. You can also use the swimming gear in the W Shop.
Earn 50 Prize Tickets at the Arcade
While you’re playing games, you’ll earn tickets towards this task! Make sure you have fewer than 9,999 Arcade Tickets, or you won’t earn more. You can spend your tickets at the Arcade Shop — there are items, but also Play Tokens, which you can use to keep playing your favorite games once you’ve used up your free plays.
Take your baby on the swings 3 times
Tap on a stroller and select a baby. Visit the Baby Park in Kinzville and tap on the swings to have your baby use them. This task requires a baby on your account — you can’t borrow one for this task. Do this on three different days to complete this task.
Use the Fortune Teller at the Curio Shop on 4 different days
Head to the Curio Shop and tap on the Fortune Teller to receive a fortune and a prize — you could win an item, some KinzCash, or a Wish Token. Do this on four different days to complete this task.

We have to play Home before dark again, and I just checked and the picture is still the same as last time (very small and hard to see). So something has definitely changed since I mentioned it last time, and has not changed back. (And my monitor and settings are still the same as always).
I remember seeing your first comment weeks ago, but hadn’t played the game recently so I read your comment and moved on. Now, I’ve played it again and there was certainly a change made to Home Before Dark… It is very zoomed out compared to how it used to be. Just like you, I didn’t change anything with my browser or monitor settings, and it only happens to this game.
Maybe they saw your comments and are fixing it right now, as Webkinz Next is currently down for maintenance. *fingers crossed*
I am glad that I am not the only one who has spotted this problem. kalcan8, I won’t hold my breath about them fixing it now, because back then when I reported it for the first time (on here and on Next itself), they didn’t do anything but said it must be me, my browser, monitor or settings (which it is certainly not).
