This past October’s Ghost Hunt was such a popular event, we’re bringing the Ghost back to the mines in 2023.
Starting in January, the ghost will appear in the mines very briefly, only on very rare occasions. Keep a look out when you’re mining. You never know when he will appear. If you happen to spot the ghost, click on it to win a prize!

Ooh, neato! I’m glad this will be a rare occurrence.. will we get new prizes? Ooh, some cute winter decor, perhaps? ;) I miss it when Doug used to “rarely” come to the clubhouse. it’s not fun if he’s always there, lol
Maybe ever-present Doug isn’t as exciting as he used to be, when he was playing hard-to-get, but he also isn’t as frustrating either. Now he’s settled down, and he’s good old dependable Doug. I am glad that he decided to put down roots. Now more people can enjoy gem trading and get to collect all of the great prizes that he offers. There might be some players who don’t even know about him, as he was more absent than present before, and now they can get to know him for the first time. I am not sure how I feel about the ghost, as I was almost never fast enough to catch him when players reported that he was in the mines. I really loved when Next friends would find him and then invite me to play, transporting me to join them right where the ghost was. That was really helpful, and I tip my hat to whoever thought of it!
I remember waiting all day in the gem room to find Doug. I did end up finding him that day, and that was the only time I ever tried lol.
Ikr, I do prefer it. Especially considering how even with Doug being there whenever, I still make very little progress with him. I keep getting the same prizes, never anything better than the walls and flooring. Worse yet is when he says it’s my first time (on my oldest account) and gives me some Rocky Candy, which is sometimes less valuable than the gem I gave him.
I love that he’s always there now!
I think that our Ghost needs a Santa Hat…..
