The Berry Festival Starts TODAY in Next!

The new Berry Festival has started in Webkinz Next and this festival is very bear-y!
From August 11 to 24, watch for berries floating around Next and use them in recipes to craft adorable berry bears! You can collect up to six berries a day. Combine two of each berry on a stove to craft a random bear.  The recipe lasts for the duration of the Festival so be sure to craft yours before the 24th!

You can also earn exclusive prizes by scoring over 3000 in Jumbleberry Blast if you play on Challenge Mode! There are adorable Polarberry and Goo Goo Berry Beanies that your pets can wear, and rustic baskets of Pickleberries, Sugarberries, and Moonberries you can use to decorate your home.

You even have a rare chance of winning this sweet Jumbleberry Car!

The recipe is in the Crafting Table. There’s one entry for a berry fest bear. The one you craft is completely random — there are four possible bears. The one that appears on the recipe is also random and does not indicate which bear you’ll get

Day 3 and still no yellow berries to craft with.

This event could be really fun if you would lower the number of points in the jumble berry quick challenge game. Also make it possible to create the berries we need when we get all of one kind. Three days and I can’t even make one bear. Way too long and hard to play the quick challenge game and again, random prizes so I have several of some and non of others. It’s just as bad as wacky zingos on Classic. I don’t have the time to play that either. I was hoping this would be different. So sad.

Would be nice to get some yellow berries floating on the screen or from the game not just baskets of them. Would be nice if it rotated all the prizes so you could end up with all of them. Not lots of some and none of the other. Would be great if the baskets you could put in your room and open them and get berries. Also why are they in the food section of the dock? That is tricky, make sure not to feed them to your pet in error.

The goal in the Challenge mode is way too hard. I cannot imagine how younger children can meet that. If Webkinz Next wants to be just a game for adults, then please specify that. Otherwise, make the tasks manageable for all and therefore more enjoyable.

I’m a kid and I’ve been saying this for a long time but no one listens

As someone who completed the game over 20 times and managed to get 3000+ on the Quick Challenge around 90% of the time so far, here is the strategy that I used to get there. For the levels, especially the first level, I connected as many berries as I could and used as many matches as I could to accumulate as many points as possible once I had cleared all, but one of the rot tiles. Then, on the last turn, I cleared the rot tile to finish the level. For the levels where we are required to bring the jars to the bottom, I cleared all of the jars except for the last one and connected and matched berries together until the last jar was one guaranteed match away from the bottom. From there, I saw how many moves were left and if there was more than one move left, I made more matches to connect more berries together to get additional points until the last or second to last move. Since each extra move counts as +10 points, connecting as many berries as possible (in which each berry in the match counts as at least 10 points each), using this strategy can help maximize on points and help you reach 3000 points before you get to the much more difficult levels. I hope this helps everyone and I agree that these missions need to be made much easier to make it manageable for everyone of all ages.

I actually find the goal fairly reasonable and agree with crystalfawn53′s strategy. You do need to keep an eye on the number of moves left. You do need to try to connect as many berries as you can and not just 3. I’ve tweaked my strategy and can often reach the 3000 point goal on the second jar board without clearing all the jars. Take you time and look for those berry connections – you may need to rethink your starting berry to get the most!

On the accounts where my family won 1 prize yesterday evening, we are only able to win 4 prizes today. On the accounts where my family won 5 prizes yesterday evening, we are unable to win any today. Does this reset after 24 hours, and not after midnight? Can you please make it reset at midnight? Some days the kids can only play in the evening, and they will get frustrated if they try the next morning or afternoon and can’t win anything. Please, pretty please make it reset at midnight! Thank you.

    • sally says:

There was an issue with the reset so you were actually using up the remainder of yesterday’s plays. If you’ve logged in today, your reset will happen at 11am. If you haven’t logged in yet, you’re fine. It will reset as normal at midnight

Played this morning. Got over 3000 twice and a screen came up to say that I WON – no prize. It was after 7 EDT – too early ??

  8. mimi1960 says:

    so no red jumbleberry basket?

    • crystalfawns53 says:

Oh my gosh, you are right!!!! I didn’t notice that. I wonder why the Jumbleberry Basket wasn’t included into the prize pool along with the other berries traditionally awarded in Jumbleberry Fields :(

  9. Sonari says:

This is a good start, we love our berryfests! However, the goal to meet in the challenge mode is too hard, it really turns it into a grind. And random bear crafting? Why not just let us craft the bear we want? Also, over many accounts and wins, no Jumbleberry baskets at all. Lots of the others and both hats (no car yet). Just want to make sure the basket of red isn’t missing?
