Swap, share, and collect — all while exploring Kinzville!

Did you know you can trade with other players in Webkinz Next?
Just like in Webkinz Classic, trading is a fun way to swap extra items, discover something new, or help a friend complete their collection. But in Next, you can do it on the go — right in the middle of Kinzville!
To begin, click on the binder beside your pet. Drag the items you’d like to trade into the binder.

There are 36 slots for items. You can change the items in your binder at any time, including while trading.
You can trade most clothing, furniture, decorations, and other collectible items.
Some items, like gifts, currencies, materials, pet effects, and competition crops, can’t be traded.
To begin a trade, click on another player, and tap Trade. This will send the player an invitation to trade. If they agree, you will both enter trading mode. Here you can look at each other’s binders, chat about the items you’re looking for, and make a deal.

Once both players are satisfied, click Make Trade, then Complete Trade to finalize it. Just remember: once you hit complete, your trade is final.
All trades in Webkinz Next are one item for one item and the trade must be fair.
We have color-coded the items according to their value categories. There are 12 Value categories:

Not ready to trade ye? No problem!
You can turn off trading or pause requests from your options menu.

Trading is s fun way to meet new friends, share your favorite finds, and build your dream home one swap at a time. Learn more about trading in our introductory video:

Some leave as soon as accept the request and its really annoying
What does it mean when someone asks if you want to double?
They probably want to trade twice in a row, in which case the individual trade may not be satisfactory. This is often used to scam people so we do not recommend making any trade based on a promise that you’ll receive a different item in trade on the second one.
I agree with this. I have traded a lot in Kinzville and heard this term used a lot. While I have seen trades being successfully done in this format, this is usually rare as I have usually seen people ask for an item in the first trade and then disappear before the second trade happens, hence why it is called a scam tactic. A lot of my friends have fallen victim to this and it really makes me sad to see it. Personally, I despise this tactic and I never ask people to double. When trading, I always try to make sure that people know what they are trading away and even ask them if they are sure if the item is extremely hard to get. I also answer questions when I can if people ask me when the item was released, even if it comes at the risk of me not getting the item that I am looking for. What matters to me the most is that the person I am trading with is happy with the trade and does not regret it. While I don’t expect others to be like me, I just hope that no one feels pressured to do any trades that they don’t feel comfortable with, especially if that involves double trading.
Most traders log out when I take too long to find an item. I wish there was a list of each item in each category. I don’t remember where I got the items I have in my dock (a lot). Try to be patient.
sometimes I am ok with the trade not being completely fair because of something I want I am willing to give up something more valuable to get it and I cant :(
Me too Angel9902, and although I appreciate that the Webkinz team is trying to protect players from being taken advantage of, it would be nice to make those decisions for ourselves.
I have an idea that would make trading so much easier. Is there a way to add either a box of categories that show the color of the item or add the color under your item? Sometimes during a trade, I see an item I want but then have to leave the trade to find a matching color in my own dock to add to my trading book. If we knew what the color is of each specific item, we could easily scroll through our dock and add the necessary item to our trading book.
I hope one day we could do trades like 3 medium rated items for 1 premium but i feel like that would lead to people complaining about getting scammed or unfair trades
I think that trading should be like it is in classic. There are several items i would like to trade but i don’t agree with the values. It should be what I am willing to accept just like classic. I do trade and am mostly happy doing so. Any chance Next will get KinzPost so i can gift items to those needing some? Several need pieces of the Halloween costumes and I can’t just gift them even though I have 11 of the dresses!
This guide is helpful! I always have a hard time finding a match in my dock.
I don’t have a binder. Before trading was allowed, I would sell extras and things I didn’t want or need. It was one way to get more Kinz Cash. Because of rapid elimination, the binder was sold before I knew what it was. I have never made a trade.
The binder doesn’t appear in your dock, it appears next to your pet’s profile picture. Check if you have trading enabled under Options.
Oh, my goodness! Is my face red!!! I know that when I first read about a binder, I had sold some sort of a ‘book’ type item. I remember disabling the trading, as I believed I no longer had the binder. I’ve been selling unwanted or duplicate items ever since. Thank you, Sally, for the clarification.
I must say I find trading way too complicated, with the different categories and all (we could be allowed to trade 2 medium items for 1 premium or something thelike), and therefore, I block all the trades whenever I am on.
Yes, I agree. Also, some of them are not fair. For example, you can trade a flower from the park for some item that is no longer obtainable (old season, gift… etc). I love that they have labels, such as telling you what is food, diamonds… etc. I wish we had a little more flexibility, like you are suggesting. Or more categories, such as one for seasons. You could choose season items for season items as an option or the original way. I understand trying to make it fair though. If a search could be made in the toolbar, such as search premium high items in my dock, then I could add it to my binder. This also would take so much stress off of searching my dock and trying to remember the values of items and where they came from.
