Trick Or Treat Street Concept Drawings

The Webkinz Newz community recently chose the Treat or Treat Street theme as this year’s Halloween room theme and today, I am excited to show you the first set of concept drawings!

I really like how this theme is turning out, but there is still some time before the artists start modeling each item in 3D. This is your chance to leave feedback in the comments section below. Tell us what you like or don’t like about each item or how you would make them better. We will be reading each comment carefully and take all your suggestions into consideration before making the final items.

Here is a look at the homes that will be included in this theme. You will be able to add the homes to the border of an outdoor room to create the feel of a neighborhood that is decorated for Halloween. There will be three different homes, each featured in a unique color. You’ll be able to mix and match colors or set up a neighborhood using only one. Do you like the colors we used?:

We added the road tiles that you could collect playing SPREE to the W-Shop and now you’ll have sidewalk pieces to match them. I think they will be perfect to use as pathways leading to each house as well. The paw prints are a nice touch but you don’t need to use them if you don’t like. The sidewalk tiles will change slightly when you rotate them in your room:

This lamp post is beautiful and I love that it will glow purple when it’s turned on. The Trick or Treat banner is also the perfect touch. What do you think?:

The last concept drawing I have to show today is a hedge that is decorated for Halloween. The concept drawing features a giant spider decoration resting on top of the hedge, but it will change with each rotation, giving you lots of design options:

Don’t forget to leave a comment letting us know what you like or don’t like about each item. You could have a hand in how the final pieces will look! We will be taking every comment into consideration.

Stay tuned for some more concept drawings coming soon. I plan on posting them on Saturday, Aug 17th.

I thought the houses would be normal colored houses with unique decorations to each house. Kinda like the Christmas room theme that one year, only halloweeny. XD I doubt Ganz would change the design of the houses to the ones I prefer, but I thought I might as well throw my hat into the ring. Oh, I also love the sidewalk and the lamp post! I think you should keep the little paw prints, they’re cute. The hedge is ridiculously cute too.

I like these brownstone type houses, but to have more options & variety would be great, especially to put different types along the different walls like you’re on different streets (like a real neighborhood). I like your ideas here! Maybe also a black fence with cemetery behind it for an outdoor room edge piece? I would love to see those 1 block space and rotatable for different views

Ooh, having a graveyard would make it extra spooky! Especially a graveyard in a neighborhood. If I was a webkinz, I would skip that block! XD Thanks! I really liked that Christmas theme that one year, so I voted for this theme thinking it was going to be like that, with all the different house styles and everything.

I agree with the comments that the houses should look more like a normal neighborhood, each decorated differently but each with a porch light that turns off or on, and a doorbell that rings when you click on the house and says, Trick or Treat. I had rather have the houses that we can place in a room, so we can build our neighborhood using some of our amazing wallpapers. This theme will definitely be fun to build, decorate, and enjoy!

You need some ghosts and witches flying.

Do the Houses have to be made for outdoor only? It would be nice to be able to use them in a room, so we could use our own wallpaper.

I would prefer natural looking houses maybe decorated for halloween or at least one house that doesn’t scream halloween so we can use them for more rooms

I really thought this would look more like trick or treating through a regular neighborhood. I wish the houses looked more like the Halloween Front Door at the eStore. A nice porch you walk up to and ring the door bell to get your candy with seasonal decorations like a skeleton on a chair or something like a fog machine making the yard look spooky. The last couple themes for halloween have been loaded down with spider webs everywhere. Enough with the spider webs! I like the lamp post and the side walk.
