Hello again Webkinz Newz readers, Ella McWoof here with a special report! From Thursday July 13th (starting at 9:30 am EST) – Friday July 14th (ending at noon EST) you’ll be able to vote for a new Halloween theme to be released in the W-Shop in October!
You’ll have 3 themes to choose from. Look over the following concept drawings carefully because once the winning theme has been decided, the concept drawing will be used as inspiration for the rest of the items that will be included in the theme.
Here is the concept drawing for the Haunted Castle room theme. This theme would feature “haunted versions” of items from our existing Medieval room theme. The red velvet colors would be replaced with a deep purple, and cobwebs and other ghostly touches would be featured on each piece:
Next is the concept drawing for the Trick or Treat Street room theme. This would be an outdoor theme, featuring home fronts that are decorated for Halloween, as well as other items you could use to build a spooky neighborhood:
The third theme you have to choose from is the Happy Halloween theme. This theme would include furniture that you’d find inside a cozy home that was decorated for Halloween including a candy bowl, side table, rug, window and this colorful couch:
Don’t forget to vote right here on Webkinz Newz starting Thursday July 13th at 9:30 am. Which of these themes would you like to see released in the W-Shop in October? Please leave your comments below…
This has been Ella McWoof reporting for Webkinz Newz.
The castle theme is cool, but I like the Trick or Treat Street theme!
I like them all. But I would love to have a Haunted Castle. So, that one gets my vote. Although, the candy dish in the Happy Halloween would be cool, especially if it rotated and changed. And, the idea of some spooky outdoor items in the Trick or Treat Street is very appealing too. Tough Choice! I’m excited to see which one wins. All 3 sound like fun.
I like the Trick Or Treat Street and the Happy Halloween Themes :)
The Medieval theme is my favorite Rare theme, & I’ve hoped for years for a haunted version (what’s spookier than a haunted castle?), so this one sure has my vote. Especially after the fun success of the Haunted Hotel theme last year! That came out just great. Absolutely awesome. Trick or Treat Street would be a ton of fun too. I’m kind of surprised they’re still offering the Happy Halloween theme (is this the second or third year in a row?) as one of the choices. It looks to me like just another indoor furniture theme with seasonal decorations, and I already have plenty of that sort of thing, so I won’t be voting for that one. Come to think of it, we just got another new theme like this, the Party theme, tho with un-seasonal decorations. Whatever wins, we’ll have fun with it!
I just re-read the descriptions and the Trick-or-Treat Street one says “home fronts”. Does that mean the buildings can only be placed along the back borders of the room? Or are they actual buildings that can be placed anywhere and turned different directions? This is important to know before we vote as it will totally affect the room design possibilities. Michael, Mandy, Sally Webkinz, whoever’s on today, please ask the Designers about this. Thanks!
My understanding is it would be like those Christmas buildings they have to put along the outer edges of the outdoor rooms. I don’t think they’re real buildings, just the fronts. But maybe I’m wrong…
That’s what the word “fronts” implies for sure. But in the concept art shown it looks like a 3 dimensional piece, like a cottage.
The Trick or Treat street theme for sure.
Like them all. Will be a tough choice.
i would love to see the haunted castle theme
Yes, I regularly replace my couch every Halloween.
This is great. Haunted Castle or Trick or Treat Street would be AWESOME. The Happy Halloween theme, not interesting to me at all.
I would love to see the outdoor theme….
