Hello again Webkinz Newz readers, Ella McWoof here with a special report! From Thursday July 13th (starting at 9:30 am EST) – Friday July 14th (ending at noon EST) you’ll be able to vote for a new Halloween theme to be released in the W-Shop in October!
You’ll have 3 themes to choose from. Look over the following concept drawings carefully because once the winning theme has been decided, the concept drawing will be used as inspiration for the rest of the items that will be included in the theme.
Here is the concept drawing for the Haunted Castle room theme. This theme would feature “haunted versions” of items from our existing Medieval room theme. The red velvet colors would be replaced with a deep purple, and cobwebs and other ghostly touches would be featured on each piece:
Next is the concept drawing for the Trick or Treat Street room theme. This would be an outdoor theme, featuring home fronts that are decorated for Halloween, as well as other items you could use to build a spooky neighborhood:
The third theme you have to choose from is the Happy Halloween theme. This theme would include furniture that you’d find inside a cozy home that was decorated for Halloween including a candy bowl, side table, rug, window and this colorful couch:
Don’t forget to vote right here on Webkinz Newz starting Thursday July 13th at 9:30 am. Which of these themes would you like to see released in the W-Shop in October? Please leave your comments below…
This has been Ella McWoof reporting for Webkinz Newz.
I love all three themes. My suggestion is to pick pieces from each and make one really awesome versatile theme that could be added to the permanent collection and then add some extra specially complimentary pieces to the estore. Thank you for such a wonderful creative place to play.
I’ve actually always wanted something like the Happy Halloween theme! For my first Halloween in Webkinz World, I wanted to make a room that looks like someone’s living room decorated for Halloween, but the theme we got that year looked too much like a haunted castle or something, so I ended up making a room like that instead. Each Halloween theme since then has also been too much of its own thing to make the room I wanted, though I had fun with them anyways. I think I’ll probably end up voting for Happy Halloween because if it wins I could finally make my Halloween living room!
I like the haunted castle idea!
My vote would be for the Trick or treat street or appy halloween theme. I do like the idea of the haunted castle but i really want to see new furniture and pieces rather than just redoing old pieces (:
Happy Halloween? Ha, there’s no such thing. Halloween is supposed to be scary, and honestly, this theme just doesn’t look appealing. I’m sorry, but the Happy Halloween theme is definitely my least favorite. XP The Trick or Treat Street looks cool, but the Haunted Castle looks…different. It’s not exactly a remake of the Medieval theme. Same items, yeah… but they’re recolored and renovated to look more ancient and creepy. Also, there is lots of designing freedom with the first two themes… :)
Wow! I really love all of these! The trick-or-treat street would be a neat compliment to the Christmas outdoor themes, but I love the haunted castle idea. I really like the Happy Halloween theme too, though; as I have a Halloween Party room with very little decoration and furniture. It will be hard to vote!
The Trick or Treat Street theme seems like it would offer a nice departure from the indoor Halloween themes of days past.
the TrT street theme would be a nice change of pace from indoor Halloween theme.
I love the idea of a trick or treat theme, although the haunted castle sounds cool too!
Hey Michael Webkinz, I don’t know where to post this so I’ll just leave it here. While I absolutely love the Fan Build Room Design features (favorite thing on the Newz), I really miss the Let’s Build videos you used to make. The last one I found was from Halloween 2015. Would you consider making some new ones? They were more than just cool room ideas, I enjoyed listening to & watching the creative process unfold. You inspired a lot of cool additions to my house!
Hi 1Emerald1! I am glad that you enjoyed the Let’s Build videos. Thank you. I really would like to do some more but the problem is finding the time to make them. We’ve been busy here at Webkinz headquarters :) I will try to do some more in the future… I really enjoy making them!
Awesome, Michael, thanks for getting back. I imagine you guys at ganz are always very busy!
