Webkinz Votes 2014: Ella Interviews Cowabelle!

Hi Webkinz Newz readers, it’s Ella McWoof, your official Webkinz Votes 2014 reporter.

One of the biggest surprises of this campaign has been the announcement by Cowabelle Cowoline, daughter of Kinzville Academy superintendent Ms. Cowoline, that she will also be running for Mayor. In her speech, Cowabelle invited voters to “Join the Adventure”. If elected, she promises to introduce more freedom to Kinzville: more access to treetop and underwater rooms AND more items with the freedom to be placed anywhere. She also said she’d reduce daily Spree! rolls from 2 to 1 per day, as she would want everyone to spend less time at the Mall and more time with their families.

Today I’m sitting down with the fifth candidate to announce their run, Cowabelle!

Ella: Cowabelle, thanks for being with me today.

Cowabelle: Glad to be here, Ella! Shout out to the Kinz watching at home! *waves*

Ella: A lot of people were surprised when you announced your run and said you’re too young to be Mayor. What do you say to them?

Cowabelle: I could see why they’d think that, but here’s the thing: kids have great ideas, too! Just because I’m young doesn’t mean I can’t take action. My mom always says that caring for your community is important.

Ella: Speaking of your mom, has it been tough running against Ms. Cowoline?

Cowabelle: It’s tough because she’s so determined! And with the campaign and everything, we haven’t seen much of each other like we normally do. I like her platform promises, though.

Ella: In your speech, you promised more places to put items in rooms. Can you explain in more detail what you mean?

Cowabelle: I think that there should be fewer restrictions on where you can or can’t place items (some can’t go indoors or outdoors, for example). I’m all for loosening up the rules, except that certain things are definite no’s: like, fireplaces can’t go underwater, wall paintings can’t go in an outdoor room, etc. If the rule change doesn’t make sense, then it won’t  happen. I should also point out that changing item restrictions would be a GRADUAL thing and may take a while.

Ella: You’ve been leading in my polls for a few weeks now. Who do you think is your greatest competition in the election?

Cowabelle: I’d have to say Sheldon. The others have great platforms, but voters may want to take it easy and go with Sheldon, who hasn’t promised anything. ANYTHING! That crazy turtle.

Ella: Is there anything else you want voters to know?

Cowabelle: You have a chance to make a difference this November! If you vote for me, you can join me on my adventure as we take Kinzville toward more freedom, more family and more FUN! I believe that a Kinz who understands the issues important to you can best represent you as Mayor. JOIN THE ADVENTURE!

Thanks Cowabelle! Log into Webkinz World today (Nov 17th) to get your own Cowabelle Election Cap and stay tuned for my interviews with the rest of the candidates. My full interview schedule can be seen HERE.

I’m still not sure who to vote for but I’m positive it won’t be for Cowabelle. While I like the idea of putting certain items in rooms they normally wouldn’t go, I can’t get on board with her wanting to cut back on SPREE rolls – all we get is two per day and it takes FOREVER to get to the mall as it is without knocking down that second daily roll.

    • MidnightQueen says:

Well, if you’re not a Cowabelle voter, then perhaps you could be a Dex voter? I posted a comment in the comment’s section on Dex’s interview, so if you want to read about all the good reasons to make “The Heroic Choice”, then my comment is on page two in the comment’s section of Dex’s interview. ***MidnightQueen***

      • TennesseeFrogs2 says:

Midnight, I’ll go read your comment. Right now Dex is number three on my list.

        • MidnightQueen says:

          Hey, thanks TennesseeFrogs2! #TheHeroicChoice ***MidnightQueen***

          • TennesseeFrogs2 says:

I agree with you where you said “he’s only taking away what we don’t yet have”. Dex is climbing up my list but i still have to vote for Sheldon. I can’t wait to read his interview tomorrow.

          • MidnightQueen says:

Sheldon is cool! Besides, you have three votes that you can put towards anyone, and you can vote Dex once and Sheldon twice, if that’s what you want. #TheHeroicChoice ***MidnightQueen***

    • y33onWKN says:

I agree Elessar! I just got the Gold Leaf Bed from the mall. I’m working on that room theme!

      • playnowpuppy says:

Elessar, I understand u dont’ want Spree roles to be reduces but listen to this, when Spree begain we only had 1 spree role and we still had fun :) and by the time u play spree u will still have 2 or more because of floating dice and bonus roles :) plus Cowabell only took away 1, not 2 and she didn’t take away bonus roles or floating dice :) also I think that having only 1 less spree role a day is better than having NO MORE super school days, NO MORE unhealthy foods, LESS kinzcash pere job, and NO MORE new themes for a year, and the same game for the game of the day for a month! :) :) :) think about it, Cowabelle isn’t as bad as some people make her out to be :) please at least put 1 of your votes for Cowabelle :) better yet 2, and even better than that 3!

        • Emerald1 says:

Yes, when Spree was new we had only one roll a day and it made the game so tedious that some people didn’t care about playing it. Which is possibly why they doubled the daily rolls. We don’t get floating dice or bonus rolls every time we play spree, either, it’s an occaisional thing. Elessar, you should vote for whoever YOU want. Every candidate has takeaways (except Sheldon, who will change nothing) so weigh the plusses & minuses carefully & decide who’s right for you!

  2. kin2832 says:

    Yay!!!:) Go Tabby!!!:)

  3. playnowpuppy says:

I can’t believe voting Isn’t that far away! waoo! lets go team cowabelle!

  4. madki2 says:

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome speech! Go Cowabelle! #JoinTheAdventure

  5. Raven578 says:

    Go Tabby! #Change Right Meow:D

  6. Fracktail says:

Definitely voting for Cowabelle! And for all the people saying that she’d be “too young” and “irresponsible”, just remember that we’re not literally putting a ten-year-old in charge of Webkinz World; the only changes that will happen are the ones promised. More lenience when decorating rooms is definitely something that I’d want in Kinzville!

    • playnowpuppy says:

yeah great point Fracktail! It’s not like because Cowabell is a kid means she’s going to ruin kinzville :)

    • y33onWKN says:

Fracktail: I don’t call her inexperienced, but she doesn’t have my vote. She (Cowabelle) still hasn’t answered my question: Will you be able to grow food indoors? It seems reasonable that you should be able to, but at the same time, maybe not. Plus, underwater and treetop rooms are almost pet specific. It would be like adopting any pet and being to choose your own PSI. It makes those webkinz (that you adopt to get special rooms) not special. Plus, she is reducing Spree rolls. I know that a lot of people don’t do the daily games, but Cowabelle may take the next step and remove Spree from the arcade altogether. I would vote for anyone else. I’m fine with your choice, but I am not voting for Cowabelle. I rest my case.

      • playnowpuppy says:

y33onWKN, I can answer that question for u :) no, because that would be wierd and not normal :) now here’s my case, yes treetop rooms were made for people to adopt treetop and underwater pets, but then Kinz made them also available if they’re deluxe, so really she’s taking away a Deluxe thing and she’s letting free members and other people be able to have cool rooms in their house :) and on the Spree role thing, well she’s only taking away 1 spree role, not even 2 and when spree came out we only had 1 spree role :) plus u will get more than 1 spree role because of floating rolls, and bonus rolls :) also y33onWKN, u said that maybe when she becomes mayor she would take away spree all together, that could not happen because 1. cowabelle is going to do only what she said she would do, nothing else, and 2, Kinz will not have Cowabelle take away spree because they make money from spree because u can spend E-store points for rolls, and 4 Cowabell is not crazy, she just wants us to spend time with our familys, she would never do that :) I rest my case ;)

      • Fracktail says:

See, those are valid reasons not to vote for Cowabelle. I’m more talking about the people who say, “Wellll, Cowabelle is a kid and so she can’t be mayor. I’m voting for this guy instead because they’re my favorite character.” I just don’t like it when people vote based on the character itself because it’s the changes that affect us the most. However, you’re definitely not one of those people, and I respect your choice. :) Happy voting!

    • TennesseeFrogs2 says:

Correct me if i’m wrong, but, nobody in kinzville has ever aged right? lol If they HAD aged, Cowabelle would be like eighteen.

      • Fracktail says:

Nope, everyone’s the same as they was nine years ago (or whenever a given character was conceived)! Plenty of cartoons and such have ageless characters, so it’s not like this is unheard of. I guess you just have to suspend your disbelief and roll with it!

  7. doingmydailies says:

I think having too much freedom could be a bad thing. We need a mayor who is an experienced webkinz who has shown that they can be a leader. Ms. Cowaline is definitely getting my votes. She is so generous to webkinz and is great at being a principal so I think she would be a great mayor. Also, I love recess! The more I can go to recess, the better. Go Ms. Cowaline!

  8. doingmydailies says:

I am still not going to vote for Cowabelle. I think that having too much freedom could be a bad thing. I like that it’s a special thing to be able to have a treetop or underwater room and I want it to stay that you have to adopt specific pets to get them. Plus, I know that kids have great ideas, I do, but we need a mayor who is an experienced webkinz. Personally, I think that Ms. Cowaline should be the winner because she is so committed to us. She gives us such great opportunities at the Kinzville Academy everyday. She is kind and has great leadership. She has already shown that through running a school. Ms. Cowaline gets my votes for sure. VOTE FOR MS. COWALINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • prprprprp says:

Well, the only freedom she is giving us is freedom for putting stuff in rooms. That’s not really too much freedom, ya know?

    • TennesseeFrogs2 says:

All i can say about Ms. Cowaline is #MoovingBackwards. She is only eliminating five of fifteen recess days at the expense of SS days. Personally, i think webkinz is perfect the way it is, #It’sAllGood :)

  9. lionpuppy2003 says:

well i think she would be a great mayor, but she is the school principal, so it would be strange , i think it should be Daisy Doe . she is AWESOME!!!!

    • playnowpuppy says:

Cowabelle is not the school princapal :( Cowabelle has no job so she could devote all her time to Cowabelle :) I think your thinking of Cowabelle’s mom, Ms.Cowaline the school supertindint :) anyway #JoinTheAdventure! Can’t say I agree with u about Daisy Doe :( Cowabell is totally AWESOME!

    • prprprprp says:

Oh, this is Cowabelle, her daughter. you’re thinking of Ms. Cowoline. :)

  10. MidnightQueen says:

Sorry Cowabelle, but I am still not voting for you. I can’t believe that you actually insulted Sheldon! I’m soooo going to vote for Dex. I love you Dex!!! #TheHeroicChoice ***MidnightQueen***

    • prprprprp says:

I thought she was being a little sarcastic, calling him a crazy turtle…

      • MidnightQueen says:

I don’t think sarcasm is typically a plus when choosing a mayor. ***MidnightQueen***

        • Fracktail says:

A sense of humor isn’t a bad thing! Personally, I think a leader should have a balance between humor and serious-ness. Besides, I don’t think “crazy” is really an insult; it’s more like good-natured ribbing. If she’d pulled a Daisy Doe and said that he was “poisoning Kinzville with his horrible ideas” or something, then that would be a different matter.

          • MidnightQueen says:

I suppose it could’ve been meant as a playful gesture, but still, would you like to be called crazy if you thought that things were great just the way they were, but someone else happened to disagree and called you crazy? You also need to look at how she ended the sentence. If she had ended it with an exclamation mark, then I might have seen it as more friendly. But she ended it with a period, so I believe the truth may be in the detail. ***MidnightQueen***

          • playnowpuppy says:

I don’t think she was being mean :) and plus I wouldn’t be affended if someone called me crazy :) my friends do all time, and they’re just doing it in a joking way :)

          • Fracktail says:

That is a good point about the inclusion of a period; I never looked at it that way, but I suppose the choice of punctuation does affect the connotation of the words. However, we also don’t know the tone of voice she would be using; sarcasm doesn’t carry over well in text, so unfortunately there’s not much we can work with here. To me, it just doesn’t seem like a personal attack; it seems like it could be likened to “that silly turtle” more than anything else. Besides, Cowabelle is no stranger to Sheldon; she’d probably be more comfortable poking fun at a friend (as long as it isn’t malicious).

          • MidnightQueen says:

I guess that’s true. Perhaps all we can really do is guess. I see her remark about Sheldon to be more of an insult, but that is just my view of the comment. Still not voting for Cowabelle though. ***MidnightQueen***

          • Fracktail says:

And that’s fine! To each their own, I say. Happy voting! :D

    • ParisLover says:

Amazing Cowabelle!!!! I am totally voting for you. You had a great speech and I do not think that you are too young to run, just like you said young people have great and fresh ideas too!You can count on my three votes and I hope that you win the election Cowabelle!
