Ella McWoof here! With your help, I’ve sniffed out some important information about the X-citing new project, Webkinz X!
Now, in my EXCLUSIVE SCOOP, here’s more information straight from the TOP SECRET documents!
Along with a new look and a new way to play, like the Pet Care Heart, Family Score, or Pet Requests, Webkinz X will also include a new Dock with an easier way to organize your items!
Here’s a look at what your Dock will look like with the NEW Webkinz!

We have removed the dropdown menu that was used before for sorting and added tabs instead. Within each of these tabs your items will now be grouped together first by item type, and then alphabetically within those types.
Here is exactly how your new Dock of items will be grouped and organized:
- AZ: All
- Special: Gift Boxes, Coins, Tokens, Coupons
- Food: Food, Garden Seeds
- Clothing: Helmets, Hats, Glasses, Shirts, Pants, Skirts, Dresses, Shoes, Belts
- Furniture: Furniture
- Decorations: Wallpapers, Floors, Decoration, Presentable, Carpets, In-Room Games, Webkinz Studio Characters, Webkinz Studio Backgrounds
We have also included a tab for Pet Actions; however at launch Pet Actions won’t be available right away. These will be added back into the Dock in one of our updates coming soon.
Once we have added Pet Actions back to the new Dock, we will also work on a search function for a future update, to help you better locate your items.
Some of the other updates to the new Dock include:
- No need to “Get Item From Storage”; items will now load dynamically on demand
- No Dock color customization or pet portrait background
- KinzCash and eStore Points have been moved to the top center of the screen
- KinzTime, Cell Phone, Message Center and KinzPost have all been moved to the top right corner of the screen
- HELP button has been moved to the new Options menu
We have also removed the Map of Kinzville items from the Dock and moved them to their own separate Dock which only appears when you visit the map. At launch, this separate Map Stuff Dock won’t allow you to sell your map decorations back to the WShop.

I don’t know… I kinda like the dock the way it is, the things to do tab and the great deluxe customization’s, but I’m sure this new dock’ll be great!
sad about no color custumization too, however I do like how clothing will be excited!
I’m really sorry… but it kinda looks like something that should be on webkinz jr. This is not the webkinz I grew up with… sorry :(

Many seem to be negative about Webkinz X. I also noticed that people think it looks more ”childish”. As an adult Webkinzfan, I couldn’t disagree more! I LIKE the new look. A lot. I love seeing your pet sitting on it’s hiney in the left bottom corner. Seems we’ll be able to zoom out from the Map of Kinzville we created, making it look like the facebook version of Webkinz Friends. Was that feature always there? I don’t remember seeing it before… So far, I’m positive about the changes. I hope to see more and more added! I have a lot of pets waiting to be adopted (I wonder… do I have the biggest Webkinz collection of the Netherlands?) and I can’t wait to enjoy it all!!!
Hi, In all my accounts total I have about 130 pets. My Magic Mire last LEAF crown has been stuck over 2 years and no one cares and I wrote every were. I LOVE WEBKINZ and was on WEBKINZ FRIENDS . I also hope the map can be made larger. I will still put main items in the center so I can look and move on Its is WAY TOO HARD looking all over my city for 1 place every day . There are 11 accounts I work ON. For myself and family. I just see more and more work comeing. I want time to do the challenges and games for kinz cash. My husbands disabled I de-stress here . I need the rest from my life an escape . Have a great time playing hopefully these pets won’t ask for crazy stuff and we can get them happy early enough to get to have fun really playing here. I am DELUXE so I like it here I still didn’t get even 1 FRESH WATER Fountain on the 2 SUPER WHEELS it was a real let down with all the spins I had . :( I do hope this works well or I have to decide something else.
