Coming Soon: Bubblegum Cheeky Cat
Coming this spring with the sharp Shar Pei as one of our featured pets for March is a new version of one of our oldest and most adorable classics. Say hello to the Bubblegum Cheeky Cat! The Bubblegum Cheeky Cat is bubbly and boisterous. This fine feline is always looking for an excuse to bounce in its Gumball Pit or snack on some Spaghetti and Gumballs. The Bubblegum Cheeky Cat’s wide whiskers, pink coat, and baby blue spots make this cat a keeper! Check out the Bubblegum Cheeky Cat in March 2010!
February’s Caring Valley Tree: Lovely Locust
Even in the cold of winter, trees continue to bloom in the Caring Valley. The second Enchanted Tree of the year is February’s Lovely Locust! You’ll be able to customize this terrific tree when you unlock it by selecting your favorite treetop, trunk and base. The image shows all of the possible options: pick the ones you like best and then show off your new tree in your yard! How do you get one of these lush Lovely Locust trees? Simply enter the Feature Code attached to any of our Caring Valley pets during the month of February and then plant the four saplings in The Caring Valley. When you plant a tree, you’re letting us know which charity you’d like to support!
New Exclusive: Red Plasma Ball
To start February off on the right foot, we’ve got a new update coming next week that will bring, amongst other surprises, some brand new exclusive items. To get everyone excited about these new items, we’re ready to show off one now! Introducing the “Red Plasma Ball!” As teased by the Creative Director on Twitter earlier this week, this new exclusive item is replacing our Mauna Loa Lamp collection. It’s shocking how cool this ball of crackling energy will look in your pet’s room! While we’re extremely excited about this awesome new item, the Plasma Ball is only one of the many different exclusive items coming soon! Webkinz Winterfest Twitter Contest!
With the snowflakes falling within Webkinz World, the Ganz eStore sales, and the Webkinz Newz contest going on right now, there’s plenty to see and do this Winterfest. We’ve got one more surprise up our sleeve, though: a surprise Twitter contest! Want to win a sweet Winter-related prize? All you have to do is follow our official Twitter account, @Webkinz! Next week, we will randomly choose a handful of followers who will be awarded a special Winterfest prize!
Coming Soon: Shar Pei
In addition to the Signature, Small Signature, and Signature Endangered pets coming this spring, March will also bring a batch of new featured pets, as well. Leading the pack of featured pets for March is the sharp Shar Pei! With its droopy eyebrows, wise wrinkles, and cute curved tail, the Shar Pei is one of the most distinguished and docile dogs in all of Webkinz World. This pup is pleased by a plate of its Peking Puppy Food and a peaceful pause under its Wrinkled Paper Lanterns. Look for the Sharp Pei in March 2010!
Great News for Webkinz Jr. Deluxe Members!
If you’re a Deluxe member and you haven’t been to the Bakery in awhile, it’s time to check it out! Burt needs your help to share some yummy cake with his friends. Now Retired: Webkinz Rottweiler
As much as we love each and every Webkinz pet in Webkinz World, the time comes when some of our older pets must be retired. Retired Pets are pets that we no longer produce. Today, we would like to announce that the Webkinz Rottweiler is being retired. The Rottweiler was released in July 2008. The brave Rottweiler is a guard dog by nature, so this pup is observant and smart. We bid a warm farewell to this dedicated dog!
Introducing Webkinz Small Signature Pets!
Our Signature pets are some of our most eye-catching plush, and the new Signature Endangered line will continue that tradition. Coming Soon: Signature Pig
March may mark the beginning of our new Signature Endangered line, but our original Signature line is still going strong. Starting in March, we’ll be releasing two new Signature pets each month! Talk about twice as nice! The first of our signature pets for March is the portly Signature Pig! You’ll love rolling around in the mud with the Signature Pig! The Pig is the perfect porky pal, as it’s always ready to head outside to play—rain or shine—in its messy Muddy Marsh. And when you’re all tuckered out from a day of play, you can sit back and make your pig pal happy with a Homemade Apple Core Pie! Watch out for the Signature Pig in March 2010!

Winterfest Begins!
Winterfest, our annual Webkinz World winter celebration, has begun! From today through to next Friday, you’ll be able to take part in a bunch of fun Winterfest activities taking place within Webkinz World, on the Ganz eStore, and here on Webkinz Newz! Introducing Webkinz Signature Endangered Pets!
This year, we’re expanding on the “Signature” series with a brand new line of pets called the “Signature Endangered” line! Signature Endangered pets are large and soft, and adopting one of these pets rewards a special piece of furniture from a Signature Endangered room theme, a Wish Token, and a Sanctuary Gift Pack that includes an Endangered-exclusive Sanctuary wallpaper and flooring. Signature Endangered pets will be drawn from the pool of endangered animals in the world, which include some of the world’s most breath-taking creatures. Winterfest Contest!
Winterfest arrives this weekend, and we’re celebrating with a contest! This time around, we’re asking you to design an awesome outdoor room. Using only W Shop items, design an outdoor yard that screams “winter wonderland”. Entries are judged on originality and suitability, as well as creative use of W Shop items. The five (5) most original entries will each win a Build-A-Snow-Fort Seige Tower (the “Prize”), one of the most exciting new items added to the Ganz eStore this winter. The contest opens at 12:00 am EST on January 23, 2010 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on January 29, 2010.
