Pet Of The Month Music Video: Mustache Louie!
Whether it’s visiting friends or just hanging out around the house, the Schnauzer knows how to make life fun, and January’s Pet Of The Month is ready to rock out to its brand new Pet Of The Month video, “Mustache Louie“! Adopt the Schnauzer any time in January to get a Pet of the Month loot bag, filled with prizes and a surprise you can’t get anywhere else. After you adopt the Pet Of The Month, you can download the MP3 of the song from Music Starz, the Webkinz Music Hall of Fame, within Webkinz World! Feedback Friday: What did you think of our holiday events?
Welcome to the weekly edition of Feedback Friday, where we ask a question and look to our wonderful Webkinz members for answers that we will use to make Webkinz World better. This is your chance to influence the way that Webkinz World evolves! This week, to look back at the holiday past, we want to hear from you about how we did this holiday season. This year’s holiday celebration had plenty to do. Ms. Birdy handed out a gift every day for twelve days in the Christmas Countdown, Santakinz asked everyone to pick what they wanted as a present, we had three Webkinz Newz contests and a Sweet Tooth Tiger giveaway, there were some great eStore sales, and so much more. This week’s question is… What did you think of our holiday events? What did you like about our holiday events this year? What didn’t you like? What would you like to see next year? Christmas Day Sweet Tooth Tiger Winners!
As one of our surprise Christmas contests for 2009, we gave members the chance to win the extremely limited Holiday 2009 virtual pet, the Sweet Tooth Tiger. Everyone who logged into Webkinz World on Christmas Day was entered into a draw for one of 25 Sweet Tooth Tiger pet codes. This rare pet will not be released as plush or through the Ganz eStore. We’re happy to announce that the 25 winners have been selected! To find out if you’re one of the lucky 25, simply log into Webkinz World, and check your KinzPost mail. As announced by the Creative Director on the official Webkinz Twitter feed, the winners have all received a KinzPost message with the pet code for the Sweet Tooth Tiger! Congratulations to those who won! We’d like to thank everyone who entered the contest and joined us on Webkinz World for Christmas. We had a great time this year with all the fun things to do, and we look forward to many more great events in the year to come!
January’s Signature Pet
Not to be outdone by this month’s featured pets, January’s Signature Pet is a one-of-a-kind pup that is forever faithful. You’d be hard pressed to find a more adorable dog than the new Signature German Shepherd! Signature German Shepherds are tops when it comes to being loyal, strong and brave dogs. They will do anything to help a friend and anything to save the day! German Shepherds love to exercise, so make sure you’ve got lots of room for this big dog! New Year’s Contest Winners!
Ending 2009 on a great note was our New Year’s contest. We’ve read through your New Year’s resolutions, and, after much deliberation, we’ve picked five winners. Congratulations to Kayla, Steve, Stacia, Shannon, and Mikayla for winning. You’ve all been awarded the exclusive Pet of The Month loot bag item, the Party Machine! January’s Featured Pets
January has arrived, and with it has come a lovable group of new plush pets. This month, four new pets join Webkinz World: the Portuguese Water Dog, the Triceratops, the Ginger Cat, and the Weimaraner! Does the Portuguese Water Dog like baths? Would a Triceratops and a Ginger Cat be friends? You can find the answers at your favorite Webkinz retailer! All three of these pets are available along with wide-eyed Weimaraner this month!
Notice: Pet Of The Month Loot Bag Issue Fixed
We have an update regarding the status of the Pet Of The Month loot bags for January. Following the new year, there was a issue that affected a small percentage of our members preventing the loot bag from being properly awarded when adopting the Schnauzer, January’s Pet Of The Month. The issue was fixed shortly after the reports began coming in. We are happy to report that those members who did not receive the loot bag when adopting the Schnauzer can now do so. To obtain your loot bag, log into your account, switch to the pet Schnauzer that you adopted this month, and use the “Things To Do” menu to navigate to your room. Once you enter your room, you will receive your Pet Of The Month loot bag. We apologize for any inconvenience. We’ve had a talk with the Koala was who unwilling to allow the Schnauzer to take Pet of The Month honors from it and decided to steal some of the Pet of The Month loot bags. The Koala apologizes to you all, as well. Mustache Louie is again happy-go-lucky.
Reminder: Last Day To Buy Christmas Items
While we’re sad to see the Christmas season go, it’s time to begin the new year. As such, all of our Christmas-related items on sale at the W Shop must go. If you have any last minute holiday purchases to make, today is your last chance, as tomorrow, January 5, all of our Christmas W Shop items will no longer be on sale. So don’t delay, and scoop up the last of the Christmas items today! Update: As announced by the Creative Director on our official Twitter feed, the Christmas sale has been extended until the end of the day on Wednesday, January 6. Use the extra time to earn some KinzCash and purchase the Christmas items before they’re gone!

The Code Shop is currently unavailable due to an issue that prevents codes from being redeemed. We are currently working on this issue and will reopen the Code Shop when it is fixed.

Though December was a busy month for Webkinz World, January will have plenty of fun stuff to do, new physical products, eStore sales, and more. Here’s a quick glance at what’s going on in Webkinz World this month: Webkinz World Updates Our new Arena game, Duck Crossing, is coming this month! A bunch of new items and activities are inbound, as well. The Christmas W Shop item sale continues until January 5th. Get your last-minute winter shopping done now! Physical Products Our featured pets for January include the Portuguese Water Dog, the Triceratops, the Ginger Cat, and the Weimaraner. Now Available: Garnet Rover, January’s Birthstone Pet

The Garnet Rover is January’s Birthstone pet, and it is now available on the Ganz eStore. As with our other Birthstone pets, the Garnet Rover is available only until the end of the month. Notice: Pet Of The Month Loot Bag and Deluxe Item Issues
Happy New Year, everyone. We hope you are enjoying this first day of 2010! We have some news regarding some of the new content in Webkinz World. We have received reports from a small percentage of our members stating that the loot bags containing special items that are awarded when registering a Pet Of The Month pet have not been rewarded properly. The issue was identified, and it has now been fixed. Anyone who registers a Schnauzer from this point forward during January will receive the Pet Of The Month loot bag. For those who registered a Pet Of The Month pet but did not receive a loot bag yet, a fix will be coming on Monday of next week that will award the loot bag. According to word around the newsroom, the Koala was unwilling to allow the Schnauzer to take Pet of The Month honors from it and decided to steal some of the Pet of The Month loot bags! Mustache Louie was not pleased. Additionally, the Mountain Mine Ride, awarded to Deluxe members that have a yearly membership, is currently closed for repairs.
