Latest Update: October 14, 2025
We are happy to announce that early access for the browser-based version of Webkinz Classic is now available! Now you can play with your account on either the browser version or on the Desktop App – all of your data is the same, and you can go back and forth. While this is early access, most of your favorite features are already up and running. We are continuing to work on the features that are not yet available, as well as fixing bugs. We are happy to report that both TVs and the coloring book are working again on the browser version!
Known Issues:
We have a detailed list of unavailable features and current known issues below. These issues relate to the Browser Based version of Webkinz Classic only. If you are playing using the PC/MAC Application, these issues will not appear. The mobile application for Webkinz Classic has limited features and is also not affected.
General Issues:
- Some error messages are not being displayed. If the game just stops working, please refresh your web page and the game should start working again.
- Dragging items from the dock is not working perfectly. We recommend holding down until the icon attaches to your cursor before dragging the item.
- While the game has been coded to scale to any size, the Things to Do menu is not scaling at this time.
- While you can go to the browser-based version of the game on your phone or tablet, the game has not been optimized for these platforms, and we do not consider the game playable on these platforms at this time.
My Room:
- Pet Actions are not animating properly in the room.
- The following in-room items/activities are currently still in-development:
- Movie Maker
- Jigsaw Puzzle
- Air Hockey
- Go Fish
- Trading Card Series 1 Binder
- Trading Card Series 2 Binder
- Star Collector’s Carousel
- Gem Hunt Jewel Box
- Webkinz Figure Display Case
- All Building Kits
- All Saplings
- Clocks
W-Shop:
If you have the Pet Action dock open, then open the W-Shop, the Shop’s close button will not work. Please ensure that you have the item dock visible before opening the W-Shop.
Arcade:
Note: Some games, like Cash Cow are using the original versions, not the later versions used in the App. This is intentional.
The following games are not currently available on Browser. They can still be played in the PC/Mac App, and mobile App where applicable:
- Flutterbugged
- Goober’s Atomic Adventure
- Grand Grotto
- Jumbleberry Blast
- Leapin’ Llama
- Pet Party Parade
- Spree
- Tile Towers
- Wacky-er Zingoz
- Webkinz Scrambled
- Whimsy Sky
- Zingoz Pop
- Zingoz Zangoz
Curio Shop:
All items in both the normal and Deluxe shops are showing all items as Arte’s Favorite. This is just a visual error. Incorrect items will not be counted as Arte’s Favorite items for Challenges.
Daily Activities:
- Jellybean Challenge is not working. If this activity is available, it must be played in the App version.
- Super School Day bonuses are not recognized.
- The link to Spree does not work as the game is not available.
- Quickdraw events do not properly award prizes. Please play on App version to avoid missing prize.
Clubhouse:
Some events/giveaways are not currently working in the browser-based version. These events are working in the PC/Mac App version. The events affected are:
- Halloween Ghost Event
- Countdown to Christmas Event
- SantaKinz Event
- Cinnamon Chocolate Stand (Valentine’s Day)
Zumwhere Zum Room (Magical Forest):
The graphics for toys, food, and furniture do not appear in room or in the game’s dock. This is a display bug only. The items are there and can be dragged from the game’s dock into the world and the Zums will react to them. That said, this makes it very difficult to play. We recommend using this feature on the PC/Mac App at this time.
Sections In Development:
Some sections of Webkinz are not currently available in the browser-based version. These areas are in development and are currently planned to be included in the final version.
- Adventure Park
- Kinzville Park
- Music Starz
- Webkinz Stadium
Additional Issues:
- Nafaria will not appear to trade for your gems. She is still appearing in the PC/Mac App.
- The New Account tutorial and Ms. Birdy Fundamentals are not working at this time.
- Your in-game Phone (Friends List) cannot be customized.
If you find an issue in the browser-based version that is not included in this list, please let us know in the comments below. If you have an issue with adopting a pet or with an eStore purchase, please contact Webkinz Customer Support directly.
On Wishing Well 2 Game, buttons were very delayed when clicked. Also the letter font is not the Webkinz font, not sure if that just hasn´t been developed yet. Thank you so much Ganz!!
So exciting, I just logged in on google chrome! Some things I noticed:
-I had done my job on the app maybe 30ish minutes prior to logging in on browser. When I went to the Employment Office on the browser, it said I had 8 hours and 20 minutes before I could do my next job. When I logged back in to the app a few minutes later, it said I had 7 hours and 15 minutes left.
- The items dock doesn’t hide when you click the arrow above the Things to Do button. It was in the way when I played Cash Cow, I couldn’t see the bottom of the screen.
- I can’t close out of any game via the x in the corner or by clicking on the arcade button in the lower righthand corner.
This is so exciting! I can’t wait to be able to check the Curio Shop from my browser while I’m away from my laptop! Something that I’ve noticed though is that the quality of the visuals in my house seems poor. The pets are sharp enough, but everything else is quite pixelated/blurry. It’s hard to make out the details of decorations. I was using a Chrome browser on my laptop. Thank you for all your hard work!!
It will not let me switch pets. When I try to the page darkens and will not move. I can go to a different part like the Curio Shop and it goes back to normal. I tried it several times and it happened every time.
Currently playing on Firefox with a laptop running Windows 10. Some bugs and oddities I have noticed that have not been brought up already:
-The font used for in-game text (Kinzpost messages, search parts, pet names) is different that the app version.
-The back half of dresses are invisible while in your house
-The interface is too large for the window size. For example, the log-in button is barely on-screen with default zoom settings and the top row of buttons makes it impossible to quit out of arcade games.
-No animation for opening/closing the Things to Do menu
-The dock and pet display don’t go offscreen when the Things to Do widget is lowered.
-Retired Wish Factory items are available for purchase and selection for Wish of the Day
-Wish of the Day does not turn the mouse cursor into a wand while active
-Class icons do not appear on Kinzville Academy pins
-Kinzcash and Estore points initially display as -1 when logging in, then count up to the correct totals
-Prize Klaw daily activity is currently impossible to complete due to the dock covering up the left button and being unable to be lowered
not sure if I can attach a photo, but my Winter Reindeer Pegasus has red inner wings for some reason haha. this is on a laptop on google chrome :)
yes I’ve had the same thing with some of my pets
Just pointing out a few thing when I tested out the demo today. At the arcade I went to play a couple games to test out what was functional and what wasn’t and I discovered a few bugs in some of the games. Bananza’s background was transparent and I could see the arcade behind it somehow. Hoppy Little Rocketship on the otherhand is where I found issues, the background didn’t go up as I hopped on each platform, instead the background just remained where it started for the whole game round. And I discovered that the old version of Zingoz Pop was in the arcade. I don’t know if this was intentional but I loved replaying the old versions of the arcade games again.
Interesting Things I found:
-The TV’s work in the houses with big screens
-The Colouring book works
-The Pets make the old Request sound
-The Game works in VR on the VR browser. I know the game wasn’t made for VR but hey you can take care of the pets and exercise your arms off the wheel of wow.
Bugs I found so far:
-You can still access the Park & Stadium from the Map
-The new Cockapoo generates weirdly
The Zums still make sounds when you go to the map after leaving the Zum room
Stuff I found in “Restricted” section:
-You will lose garbage if you cancel from sorting it.
My key observations so far: if a patio plant is placed adjacent to another item, I cannot harvest the plant. If a trampoline or treadmill are adjacent to a pool, my pet can’t jump from one item to another. There has to be an empty space in between. But so far, my experience has given me the same feeling that I get when I’m coming home after a long trip. It’s great to be home! PS I’m on a laptop and in google.
And wishing well isn’t working for me.
Just a few things to add: The category menu (food, clothes, etc) do not populate. You have to scroll through the entire list of items you have. I cannot change the pets clothes, I cannot drag items into the room at all. It is incredibly slow and lagging. I cannot access the new tab, any tab as I mentioned. My pets didn’t load, only the current one I was using. While I appreciate the early access and look forward to it I will probably be staying in the app for now which stinks because I really do prefer the browser. Just giving feedback because you mentioned to leave a comment here. Thanks for the hard work!
Thank you. Could you let us know what device you’re using and what browser? Thanks!
I’m using Chrome and a desktop computer Windows.
