Latest Update: October 14, 2025
We are happy to announce that early access for the browser-based version of Webkinz Classic is now available! Now you can play with your account on either the browser version or on the Desktop App – all of your data is the same, and you can go back and forth. While this is early access, most of your favorite features are already up and running. We are continuing to work on the features that are not yet available, as well as fixing bugs. We are happy to report that both TVs and the coloring book are working again on the browser version!
Known Issues:
We have a detailed list of unavailable features and current known issues below. These issues relate to the Browser Based version of Webkinz Classic only. If you are playing using the PC/MAC Application, these issues will not appear. The mobile application for Webkinz Classic has limited features and is also not affected.
General Issues:
- Some error messages are not being displayed. If the game just stops working, please refresh your web page and the game should start working again.
- Dragging items from the dock is not working perfectly. We recommend holding down until the icon attaches to your cursor before dragging the item.
- While the game has been coded to scale to any size, the Things to Do menu is not scaling at this time.
- While you can go to the browser-based version of the game on your phone or tablet, the game has not been optimized for these platforms, and we do not consider the game playable on these platforms at this time.

Note: Some games, like Cash Cow are using the original versions, not the later versions used in the App. This is intentional.

- Jellybean Challenge is not working. If this activity is available, it must be played in the App version.
- Super School Day bonuses are not recognized.
- The link to Spree does not work as the game is not available.
- Quickdraw events do not properly award prizes. Please play on App version to avoid missing prize.
Clubhouse:
Some events/giveaways are not currently working in the browser-based version. These events are working in the PC/Mac App version. The events affected are:
- Halloween Ghost Event
- Countdown to Christmas Event
- SantaKinz Event
- Cinnamon Chocolate Stand (Valentine’s Day)
Zumwhere Zum Room (Magical Forest):
The graphics for toys, food, and furniture do not appear in room or in the game’s dock. This is a display bug only. The items are there and can be dragged from the game’s dock into the world and the Zums will react to them. That said, this makes it very difficult to play. We recommend using this feature on the PC/Mac App at this time.
Sections In Development:
Some sections of Webkinz are not currently available in the browser-based version. These areas are in development and are currently planned to be included in the final version.

Additional Issues:
- Nafaria will not appear to trade for your gems. She is still appearing in the PC/Mac App.
- The New Account tutorial and Ms. Birdy Fundamentals are not working at this time.
- Your in-game Phone (Friends List) cannot be customized.

Forgot to mention one very crucial glitch: I tried to use a code for a Mazin’ Hamster in the Code Shop. The pop-up that opens when you adopt a Mazin’ Hamster (so you can name it) was blank and I couldn’t finish the adoption process in the browser version. I instead tried to use the code in the desktop version and I get a message saying that the transaction was not completed and the code is locked for 24 hours. Do I need an entirely new code now? How do I fix this?

Today’s Bug Report. As always, I am playing on the Firefox browser on a Linux Mint 22.2 OS.
General bugs
*Pet Medallions can be traded in for an Any Pet Medallion, but if you scroll in the Medallion Dock, the tokens you traded reappear and the Any Pet Medallion you got disappears, which means the trade didn’t work. However, if you close the Medallion Dock and reopen it, the Any Pet Medallions you got reappear and the Pet Medallions you traded disappear, so that means the trade DID work. If you log out and log back in, the Any Pet Medallions you got are there and the Pet Medallions you traded in are not there. In any case, thar be glitches in them thar hills.
*The first space in the Medallion Dock is a blank pet with 0/100 Medallions
*I won a Wish Token from the Deluxe Prize Machine but did not receive it.
*The message you get if you try to spin the Wheel of the Month after you have already spun it is “Undefined”.
*The music for Zumwhere that plays on the title screen doesn’t stop playing when you open Zums Sighting, and the music for Zums Sighting plays too, so you’re listening to two instances of the same music at the same time that are at different points in the score, so the two tracks conflict in harmony. Additionally, the Zumwhere theme is still playing, and the Zums Sighting theme is still playing, when you do a Zum Challenge and THAT theme is playing, meaning there are three conflicting tracks playing at the same time. I have perfect pitch so this is making me slightly crazy. :D
*When you successfully catch a Zum, the Zum Field Guide page is completely blank – no Zum images, no text, and all the links are blank and broken. The Zum Field Guide is also completely blank when you open it in Zumwhere or in the Magical Forest main screen. When you click the Zum Field Guide in your room, nothing happens and the book doesn’t even open. This means you can’t trade in your Zummies for a prize.
*The dots that represent Zums are flickering when you play Zums Sighting.
*When you bathe your pet, the “All Clean” music doesn’t play.

Running Arch Linux with the latest ungoogled chromium appimage.
- Atlantiles freezes after loading level mode 2 and causes major issues in the page, frequently requires a full refresh, quick play seems to be unaffected
- Lil Kinz show as normal size in the My Pets scroll bar
- Saving a Kinzpost pet adoption letter doesn’t save the picture of the pet in the exported image
- Seal and bird style pets visually glitch walking to the left
- Wshop doesn’t reset Kinzcash value after selling items and keeps adding after each sale, still gives correct amount
- Rock the Boat works very rarely, usually loads with no text
- Gem of the Day flavor text doesn’t load, still playable
- Notification area occasionally shows an unread message when there is none available
Jumbleberry Fields prizes doesn’t work.
For style class on level seven the model never wears glasses on the first time on the catwalk, but it still grades you and claims there was a pair. You can also select to have no clothing as one of the options.
Cash Cow 2 crashed after completing Level 1

*The price of rare items at the Curio Shop is “NaN”
*I maxed out the Bonus Prize Meter in the Wheel of WOW but did not get a Daily KinzCare prize.
*Balloon Dartz is not showing the prizes when you pop a balloon
*Halloween Bake Sale boxes float whenever your dock is visible, which is all the time, because you can’t drop the dock. It’s distracting when you’re playing a game or going to the Academy.
*When pet’s heart fills all the way up, there is no sound or animation
*Many of my storage units, such as dressers and wardrobes, appear to be empty in the browser version but are full in the desktop app.
