Latest Update: October 14, 2025
We are happy to announce that early access for the browser-based version of Webkinz Classic is now available! Now you can play with your account on either the browser version or on the Desktop App – all of your data is the same, and you can go back and forth. While this is early access, most of your favorite features are already up and running. We are continuing to work on the features that are not yet available, as well as fixing bugs. We are happy to report that both TVs and the coloring book are working again on the browser version!
Known Issues:
We have a detailed list of unavailable features and current known issues below. These issues relate to the Browser Based version of Webkinz Classic only. If you are playing using the PC/MAC Application, these issues will not appear. The mobile application for Webkinz Classic has limited features and is also not affected.
General Issues:
- Some error messages are not being displayed. If the game just stops working, please refresh your web page and the game should start working again.
- Dragging items from the dock is not working perfectly. We recommend holding down until the icon attaches to your cursor before dragging the item.
- While the game has been coded to scale to any size, the Things to Do menu is not scaling at this time.
- While you can go to the browser-based version of the game on your phone or tablet, the game has not been optimized for these platforms, and we do not consider the game playable on these platforms at this time.

W-Shop:
If you have the Pet Action dock open, then open the W-Shop, the Shop’s close button will not work. Please ensure that you have the item dock visible before opening the W-Shop.

Note: Some games, like Cash Cow are using the original versions, not the later versions used in the App. This is intentional.
The following games are not currently available on Browser. They can still be played in the PC/Mac App, and mobile App where applicable:

Curio Shop:
All items in both the normal and Deluxe shops are showing all items as Arte’s Favorite. This is just a visual error. Incorrect items will not be counted as Arte’s Favorite items for Challenges.
Daily Activities:
- Jellybean Challenge is not working. If this activity is available, it must be played in the App version.
- Super School Day bonuses are not recognized.
- The link to Spree does not work as the game is not available.
- Quickdraw events do not properly award prizes. Please play on App version to avoid missing prize.
Clubhouse:
Some events/giveaways are not currently working in the browser-based version. These events are working in the PC/Mac App version. The events affected are:
- Halloween Ghost Event
- Countdown to Christmas Event
- SantaKinz Event
- Cinnamon Chocolate Stand (Valentine’s Day)
Zumwhere Zum Room (Magical Forest):
The graphics for toys, food, and furniture do not appear in room or in the game’s dock. This is a display bug only. The items are there and can be dragged from the game’s dock into the world and the Zums will react to them. That said, this makes it very difficult to play. We recommend using this feature on the PC/Mac App at this time.
Sections In Development:
Some sections of Webkinz are not currently available in the browser-based version. These areas are in development and are currently planned to be included in the final version.

Additional Issues:
- Nafaria will not appear to trade for your gems. She is still appearing in the PC/Mac App.
- The New Account tutorial and Ms. Birdy Fundamentals are not working at this time.
- Your in-game Phone (Friends List) cannot be customized.

Wish Factory is still down and the Curio Shop’s Gem Hunt doesn’t give the description for the “Gem of the Day”.
When playing from broswer (chrome), at the Curio Shop my gems found and added to my gem collection disappear :( I only noticed today after collecting a few gems over the past few days that it says I have 0 gems at all…
dock randomly stopped showing up .not able to access dock.
Cash Cow 2 crashed after completing Level 4, and the Jumbleberry Fields prizes doesn’t work.
Thank you, thank you for restoring the website!! I froze the game by trying to ride my scooter to a different room in my house. I also noticed some of the 13+ categories on Quizzy’s weren’t running yet, but that’s okay! Cheers!
Today’s Bug Report. As always, I am playing on the Firefox browser on a Linux Mint 22.2 OS.
General bugs
*Alyssa’s Star Challenge is suddenly slower than a molasses fountain in January at the Arctic Circle. And now, instead of repeating the last word of each phrase, Alyssa is repeating the last word of each phrase between 3-5 times. And Alyssa’s word bubble is on the extreme right in the game, with the extreme right of the word bubble cut off so you can’t read the entire phrase. Also, the glow around each star obscures the star’s name and count. Furthermore, if you win a Fairy Biscuit prize from Alyssa, the cookie image takes a very loooong time to disappear.
*For the Alyssa Challenge, you are credited with trying to find more stars than you actually tried to find stars. Just clicking on the Star Challenge game earns you an attempt, and if you find no stars, then you are credited with four attempts, when it should have been three attempts.
*The meteor moves so slooooowly across your screen in Star Challenge. The addition of the little harp flourish to warn you a meteor is coming is a nice touch, though. ;)
*In Zumwhere, the Play Again button doesn’t work, and if you then try to click the X in the top right corner to close the camera, that doesn’t work. You have to go to the arcade and then go back to Zumwhere to get it to work again.
*In Magic Mire, the charms in your collection are uploading much quicker, thanks for this! It used to take up to three minutes for all the charms to upload…now it takes seconds. :D
*The regular Wheel of Wishes is also awarding double prizes, not just the Deluxe Wheel of Wishes. I got two wish tokens when I should have gotten one.
*I haven’t won a Nafaria Plush from Magic Mire in years. Was this removed from the prize pool?
*In the Magical Forest, I can’t trade in my Emerald Keys for a prize because all the prize spots are blank. Bummer. :(
*The Message Center is showing an odd glitch where, instead of being informed of prizes you transferred from Webkinz Newz or collection event items that were sent to you, there are three images, one showing a My Page icon (and My Page was discontinued years ago!), and two images showing the old yellow dock. And you can’t click the X in the top right corner to close the Message Center, either. This only happens on an account to which I’ve sent Webkinz Newz prizes, but not to accounts on which I only received collection event items.
*Wishing Well 2 is sloooow to load – 5+ seconds for the Make a Wish button to activate
*THANK YOU for adding the Collection Event icon back to My House. I don’t have to go to the Map anymore, hurray! :D
*Don’t Rock the Boat is broken on three of my accounts again. I think the trigger is seeing the Ghost Pirate in the game the day before the game breaks.
*There is an extremely long wait (10+ seconds) before the images load in Zum Shuffle.
*The DIY Wall Paint floaty clickies are floating verrrrrrry slowly. And they are floating whenever your dock is visible, which is always, because the dock doesn’t drop. This interferes with game play.
*I bought codes from the eStore, and the message upon entering my code in the Code Shop is “Congratulations! You have received your [ItemName], purchased from the Ganz eStore.”
*The KinzStyle Outlet Clothing Machine is now working on the browser version, but PJ Collie says, “Hey, those patchwork clothes aren’t bad. That’s what I call thrift store chic!” when you make a DIY Display Case. And in PJ Collie’s word bubble, it says “seek” instead of “chic”.
*Please bring back the Jack O’Lantern interface so that the Jack O’Lanterns that can have custom faces can be customized again. I have two Jack O’Lanterns that I couldn’t decide upon a face for them, and the interface was removed before I could decide, so they are faceless. :(
*I adopted a new pet but did NOT get sent to Ms. Birdy’s Welcome Room or get a pet request to be fed, etc. before I got my pet’s gift box. I got sent to a random room in my house and my gift box was in my dock. The welcome letter from Ms. Birdy was received, but the pet image from it was missing.
*In addition to awarding double wish tokens and double Wacky Snack Packs, The Deluxe Wheel of Wishes is also awarding double Snowy Cabins. And when you land on the double wish tokens space on the Wheel, you end up with three tokens.
*When you win a wish token from the Deluxe Prize Machine, it doesn’t show under the New tab in your dock, but it does show under the Special tab in your dock.
*When you visit the Arcade, the game remembers your cursor’s position and brings you back to the section of games you were in after you exit the game you were playing. This is a nice feature! Similarly, when you visit the Magical Forest, the game remembers which mini game you were playing when you exit the mini game you were playing. So if I have multiple Magic Mire plays, I don’t have to scroll all the way back to Magic Mire to play again, because when I exit Magic Mire, the Magic Mire icon in still centered in the interface. Thanks for this feature!
Items with broken animation:
Melting Chocolate Piano – animation is jumpy when pet sits at piano
Lightning Cake – no animation when item is in a Glass Trophy Case
Town Square Music Stand – pages turn all by themselves over and over and over
Running Arch Linux with the latest ungoogled chromium appimage.
- Zums that are too quick to have their picture taken or a failed Zum challenge are not blurred out in the final photo
- Wacky Bingoz loads 3 ball game by default, other buttons do not appear
- Pet requests can happen while actively playing arcade games
- Pets can request a game that is not in the browser version
- Alyssa’s speech is frequently not timed right, causing her to cut off and repeat speaking the same speech bubble. Speech bubbles frequently appear in the top right corner or right side when a star has been found
- Pet speech bubbles appear as soon as an item is picked up in the sinks and baths, when it should be after items used
- Balloon darts only show Kinzcash prizes drop, items are still awarded
- Coral Cove can be accessed, did see another pet at some point. Buffet does not appear when clicked and cannot be used. Party does not load
- Main body of Work Pants show up as red on the pet in the clothes selection
Everytime I play Wheel of Wishes, something keeps going wrong everytime I spin then Amanda Panda says goodbye. The Wheel Of Wishes is cursed into Wheel of Corruption Spread. Also I arrived at the Curio Shop, but Arte of the Curio Shop is stuck in a blinking/winking animation instead of saying Welcome to the Curio Shop. Also, Today’s Activities is out of time sync. That’s why the browser version is selfish corruption
Deluxe November Challenge – Ask Friends: After sending requests to the friends while signed on to desktop, I then signed on to web and it shows, and allows, me to choose any and all friends, even those sent to before. I send to a friend that I have before and close it, then open again and that friend is available to send to again, and it lets me. If I send to a friend from the web and then sign onto desktop it does not show that friend available to send to, so that part is working on the desktop. It does not do this for the Pumpkin Pie Collection at all, on both if you have sent to a friend once, they are no longer available to send to. #2 Wheel Of Wow via the Today’s Activities – it lets you spin twice no matter what. It does not do this if you choose the Wheel via the arcade.
Not a browser game glitch, but a Webkinz Newz glitch: There is no “enter” button for Peek-a-Newz, so I can’t play. :(
